If I were using the truck like you are (especially out in West Texas and the Hill Country with its sharp rocky terrain), I would probably go with a 17" wheel wrapped in Goodyear MTR Kevlars.

Installed the gigantic 270 nomadic awning from OVS

Ordered this sometimes around January and completely forgot about it - two days ago it showed up at my door steps.

    First Impression: Pretty huge coverage
    Set up: Easy
Put away: Quite simple, unlike other reviews I have heard/ read.

somebody buy my wheels & tires please, lol.

    Best,
    hefemi.

Sold my wheels today, pretty excited about my next set!

I want 18’s with a lot of meat, I know I want methods 12.5 35’s with no crazy lifts!

thanks man, Leitner is great can’t complain - has enough clearance to fit my bikes underneath it without having to mount them outside or on the bike rack. Also it was a sweet deal from @MSU Tundra with enough accessories so I’m loving it all around.

    regards,

I'm done throwing money on this truck!!

On the flip side I found a sweet deal on KO2 35x12.5x18 w/ lifetime certificate and I could not resist. Living in Texas requires a huge deal of highway driving - to get to the next adventure so - these will do for now.

Truck has been leveled only, still running stock suspensions.

Some guy on the internet mentioned that Tundras axle is not even, so now I notice it more than ever.

I'm looking to sell my Leitner Design and Add a camper-shell.

    Best,
    hefemi.

About 3 months ago - I had this idea of designing and fabricating my own rock-sliders - I'm happy to announce that my dream is slowly coming together.

I don't own welding tools or benders or have a slight knowledge of welding - however I have the strong will and vision on how I want things to turn out/ look like.

I jumped on facebook and searched for a shop that could do what I wanted - many resented and wanted me to buy ready made - but, I resisted because lead times and personal touch will be missing and it was important to me.

I was in no rush, I wanted to learn new skills, I wanted to design & also I wanted my vision to exist, not just on AutoCAD or paper but in reality.

3 or 4 Weeks ago I met a man that shared the same Idea, a man that really likes challenges and a man that was willing to work with me and teach me how to do things - nice people do exist - you just have to be patient.

Anyway, enough of the rumble, here is the original design/ idea

First Draft after Day 1 - 1.75" DOM Pipe - Strong Enough to suspend the weight of my tundra in the air - Just so that everyone know - I don't have plans of going crazy wheeling with the truck or at-least thats not on my todo list - I just want the truck to be ready for whatever gets thrown at it.

Since we both have serious - work outside our hobbies, we decided to suspend the build until next week.

    Regards,
    hefemi.

People who are willing to share their knowledge and skills like that are the best. I'm self taught in all my mechanical knowledge and its all because of people like that. Sliders are looking great.

I would feel the same if i were you... haha - I ordered them through 4WP, they once mentioned they show indefinite BO in their system - from my experience with the summit bumper, I knew they are not good at keeping up with their inventory so I placed an order anyway - two days later they mentioned that they were ready for pick up! - I asked are you sure? he said I'm looking at them right now.. went and got em - they definitely are sexy thing compared to my stock sh!ts

I thought I was done throwing money on this thing.

    best,
    hefemi.

I have been away for a while and a lot has happened. Flew to Africa to enjoy and complete few family stuff

Went on a safari tour in Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire National Park, in Tanzania. Freaking Amazing - I have many pictures but many of those have family members that I cant share on this forum. But you get the idea.

These land cruisers (Hard Top or "Mkonge" in swahili) are tough as a rock - they get washboard abuse daily and they never fail. You will never see them anywhere in the world apart from Tanzania and Kenya. They are locally made to fit tourism business.

Gave my wife a gift for being a wonderful and understanding woman, a 200 series Land Cruiser - Happy wife, pretty much I get to drive 99% of the time while I'm around.

    Ordered
    • Alcans custom leaf springs,
    • TRD Sway bar,
    • Leer Camper Shell,
    • Prinsu Top Rack
    • Rago Wifey Air System,
    • Rago Bed Stiffeners
    • Some LED for the Shell
    • Pop and Lock and
    • More light
I will be sharing the installation here in the next few weeks.

Also, My sliders are not completed yet - I hope to get them completed in two to three weeks from today.

Otherwise, Leitner Design bed rack is pretty much on sale an it comes with all the pods minus Water Rotopax, I will be posting an add soon.
