    Really nice build, Kifaru!

You don’t waste time at all.
It was just a couple of weeks ago that you were asking about bumpers.
Seems like you got that ARB in a day and had it installed the next.

    Quality.

    Good stuff!

Haha that’s true and thank you, this was a steal - shop quoted me $2200 but ended to selling the bumper for $1750 which is what would cost for a CB bumper before shipping so I had no reasons to doubt.

the lead time on CB is a torture.

    looking forward to your install.

    best,
    hefemi.

Ha! It did take patience but I wasn’t in a rush.

That’s a heck of a deal on the ABR.

I got the CBI mounted and just need to get all my lights hooked up before pics.
Couldn’t make my mind up on which lights to use.
Hoping to get it wrapped up Wednesday.

    That’s a nice design.

What gauge were you planning on using those mounting brackets and gussets?

What type of welding are you going to try?

    Thank you.

I'm not going crazy w/ the truck so - I'm thinking something a bit stronger that factory so 14" or 16" depending on material availability, would work.

Also I want to keep the weight down, I mean these things can add up weight quickly.

Well, the welding part is still questionable at the moment but i should be able to figure out here shortly.

I just finished wrapping my brain on the design - hopefully things will come together as intended.

    Best,
    hefemi.

My truck already has 6 Lights and I think they are too many - and I did not count fog-lights that I upgraded to high lumens LED.

Which lights are you going for? I found Rigid 360 to be a bit reasonable - Baja is a bit out of my budget range for now - may be future plans.

    Best,
    hefemi.

Took her to the beach to verify everything is working as intended,

got stuck 4x but meh, nothing major!

Definitely I need bigger wheels and some sliders - truck felt heavy and airbags were absolutely marvelous.

It definitely feels loose and soft when going through bumps - I'm certain this will change when my bp51 shocks gets in.

    Best,
    hefemi.

currently the truck is parked outside - which i'm not very happy about :( - I couldn't get it to park inside the garage

Need to get rid of the house and build another one with high clearance.

    Best,

Great build Hefemi. I'm Here because of the ARB. It's my only option. I've had the ARB on my 80 series Land Cruiser, 86 4runner and 14 Tacoma. It is the best looking on the Tundra and arguably the most tested bumper available.

I need to find the deal you did!

    Hey man thanks.

Trust me on this it is the best option I have ever decided on. I mean I like others but I was very skeptical and thanks to lead time it made my decision pretty easy.

The deal was just something I came across, I think someone returned it and they did not want to send it back to the warehouse- I don’t know how they manage to recoup the difference but I could t say no to the price I was offered.

I’m anxiously waiting for my BP51, I think ARB makes the best stuff out there period. I’m currently running all this weight on stock suspensions and it mad bumpy- I mean horrible effin skippy!.

    best,
    hefemi.

You actually had to wait on something.
For a minute, I thought you had some shipping genie.:D

Waiting on your feedback from the BP-51 though.

    that’s for sure -

I have read tons of comments about bp51 and I can comfortably wait for them to ship!

now if I can Hermy rid of my wheels and tires set up - in need to put 35’s in.

90% did, I broke few things and ofcoz as you can see from the picture I punctured the tire due to a rookie mistake.

Due to weight, and ofcoz the issue that I kinda knew about - the truck was not very stable - and I did this purposely to ensure I have added all of my accessories before deciding on the type of suspensions I was going to mount; the truck was wobbly and Skippy not so much but noticeable.

I don't think I prefer my tire set up anymore; I think they are limiting what I can and want to do; they were pretty fantastic (very very low on noise compared to mud tires) for city drives but not much on max-off-road.

Overall, everything worked despite some of the accessories that I never got to try, i.e. recovery system etc.

Oh and the Aux beam kept on tripping - but after I corrected the position of the cover it stopped so I assumed it was the compression/ contact that was imposed by the cover that is supplied by the manufacturer or may be solenoid overheating issues ‍♂️.

    Best,
    hefemi.
