Key fob won't rewrite 2004 limited

Just got a 2004 limited with no fobs.
Bought some eBay specials and a factory fob.
Non will program.
Did different methods of rewrite. Goes into rewrite hold lock/unlock and then lock button with no luck.
Tried to just add still no luck.
Got this as a repo so no contact with owner possible to get remotes.

Looked to see if disabled but don't see any evidence anything was disabled. Checked fuses,fobs. Dealer shows backorder with no eta for module.

Any suggestions before I just go to aftermarket system?

This does have security light with sensor next to steering column.
Light blinks when door is locked with key.

I'm thinking receiver is bad.
Any help would be appreciated.

Go with aftermarket and call it a day ,if they have no eta on the replacement unit then dont waste your time on it.

How much a factory fob cost you're could get door plus remote start for just alittle more money.

 

Found aftermarket for 50.00 so looks like that's going to be it.


Dealer says national backorder.
