Key fob remote start subscription?

    Would watch it, but I don't have Netflix. ;)

    I am NOT disagreeing with any of the comments about being on the internet, and I completely get it. I do this stuff for a living. I am just saying that IF I have a choice, I will LEAN in the direction of NOT giving up personal data to companies if I can at all help it.

    My point in this entire thread is that if I bought this truck, and I own it, I should be able to use the hardware (FOB) with the truck I own to start it remotely without having to give Toyota access to my driving data.

    I've tried to make this clear in my replies. You are partially correct. If you have a subscription, it is supposed to work. However, ENTIRELY separately, are Toyota Connected Services. This is NOT Toyota Subscription Services. If you cancel the former (Toyota Connected Services), they remove the remote start ability. Not sure I can make this any more clear about the difference.

    You are correct. But cancel this, and you won't have remote start.
