Anyone else’s wireless CarPlay go haywire when you start getting out of good cell phone range? Happened to mine today. Maybe have 3 hours on the HU.

Huh.. interesting. Did you do the updated firmware or just leave it as it came in the box.

my headunit first dropped pandora then wireless CarPlay. Arrived at my destination and when I left to go home it reconnected again at startup. Drive for a few miles and the HU restarted itself. After restarting it zoomed way in on CarPlay (icons were huge) and then back to home screen. Then back to huge icons and back to home screen. Finally as I’m driving over the hill back into strong cellular range the CarPlay connects perfectly and acts as if nothing happened. I mean, valley center, ca, is a little out there but not that far. Can’t imagine what’ll it’ll do on drives to mammoth or Tahoe

I have seen my headunit reboot 2-3 times now in wireless car play mode..and it was right when I got an incoming text....I havent see the screen zoom issue that you are describing but i did lose cell signal the other day in the mountains while using Google Maps (I have downloaded the offline maps for the area) and you can still see the route but the surrounding area gets super blurry. I read somewhere else that Gaia is a good navigation app for off the grid adventures (CarPlay compatible)
