I’ve seen people have been doing this. How does it hold up and is it pretty expensive to do?

Holds up great, got a lifetime warranty on the powder coating. All depends on your location. It can cost anywhere from $100 to $150 per wheel.

That’s not bad at all! Way cheaper than new wheels. I want to go bronze. I have the smoked mesquite color truck

How long are you keeping it? If you trade off every few years probably not worth it. If you’re a 10 yr+ guy you’ll probably regret it every time you see it (or the AG that got away) enough that the pain of the $ hit you take to switch it will fade quickly.

Very popular and fast moving thread. Color debate aside, did you finance it? If it is financed then it becomes much more complicated because the lender has a lien on the MGM. It is a ton of hassle for the dealer and lender to deal with changing titles - not a simple truck swap.

@Rocko9999 green will actually sell for more in a few years because it won’t be available for long. Took me a long time to find mine. They sells before they get to the dealer.

I waited months last year for an AG Pro. I found the perfect one during the middle of a mortgage refinance and of course it sold within 2 days of my inquiry. After that, nowhere within 200 miles of my area had one on the lot or pipeline. I settled with a MGM Pro and am very happy with my purchase. Yeah, I stare at the AG Tundras, Tacomas, 4runners, and Seqoias whenever I see one but color isnt everything.

Going back to your dilemma, id go for the AG if it fell in your lap.

Save some coin and just get it wrapped the color you want. When your ready to sell the paint underneath will be flawless. Around me it is around $3500 to do a complete color change wrap on a truck..that beats the 15% to 20% you lost when you drove the truck off the lot in depreciation...
