Get out of my head ... Literally said it again last night in our front yard while gawking at it, Kayla (wife) was rolling her eyes saying, "but that gas mileage tho". Followed by "I like my paid off car too that gets 35+ mpg". Thinking in my head, because that's the responsible thing to do, "yeah but your malibu is boring and I want to replace it with a new sequoia when the time comes". #yotahouse

I plan on mine being around for a while. Longer if by some miracle this rushed switch to EVs takes hold. I'll just keep racking up the miles on my 21 DC, modding it to my liking and driving by all the EVs broken or stuck waiting for charging stations to free up.

@Para22medic you are disappointed with the looks? I guess that's what drew me to the Tundra in the first place, liked the look better than anything else, save maybe the Raptor.

If toyota makes another true mini truck as I have read that they may lately I would buy that as a commuter but the tundra is always staying

Keeping mine... probably not a million miles or even half that. I'll see how the 4th Gen's come along and decide then

I leased my 2020 and had also hoped that the 22 was going to be another big leap forward. Well it looks like that leap was a jump over a puddle. Add to that, the ridiculous price jump of the 22 and no discount make it an even wiser choice to keep my 20.

When I had a chance to check out the 2022 models, I made the decision right then and there to get the last of the 2021s available.
While it is an SR5 CrewMax (Wanted the Limited Grade for the extra comfort items) I am so happy with my decision!
I plan on keeping it forever..

Plan is to keep it forever, had I known that when I leased it four or so years ago I would of maybe got an HD or atleast an 8ft bed.

Didnt have a way of knowing covid would do what it did.

Anyway, damn near paid off, damn near tows anything. Should run forever.

Keeping mine. 2017 SR5 with less than 10k on the clock. Although I kinda like the body style of the new gen, I’m very skeptical about the reliability of V6 and turbos lasting as long as the 5.7.

I plan on keeping it. Its a Toyota so I hope it lives as long as Scotty Kilmer says it will on Youtube. I bought the SR so it needs a few upgrades to get it where I want it. But I love the vinyl floors and seats. We haul the dog around and it make for easy clean up. Just take the leaf blower and blow all the hair out in a jiff. I've ordered my Dirty Deeds exhaust and should have it next month. I will install a S&B Cold Air intake at the same time along with a oil separator. The last big item I want is a transferflow 46 gallon tank. I would love to put a super charger on it, but I would be worried it would shorten the life of the motor.

I agree, my 21 TRD PRO will last a long time. I’m an old man so drive like one, doing 5k oil changes and added the transmission cooler as I didn’t like the high temps. I’m certainly not wealthy but I’ll make up the high fuel bill elsewhere in my expenditures.

Have had my 2018 5.7 for a year now. Just rolled past 30K on the odometer. Will drive it until the wheels fall off or the body/frame is too trashed to continue. Only reason that I will sell will be if I need to upgrade to a 3500+ series domestic for future possible trailer plans.

I don't know about forever but I plan to keep my 2014 for at least 7 or so more years.
Will take Toyota that long to refine the Gen 3 anyway.

I'd probably still have my 2005 if a National Tire and Battery company wouldn't have screwed the front end up..

I always wanted a T100. Almost bought a used one in '05 but instead took advantage of a fantastic deal on an '03 Frontier.

Had 2 kids and replaced the frontier with a honda pilot. Drove the pilot and watched the tundra evolve and told myself when the pilot dies I will have a tundra.

When I saw the '22 tundra I decided to get a '21 while I still could. Pilot was running great at 245K. I did not want to miss out on the truck I really wanted again. I love my tundra. I can haul the wife, kids, dog, and all of our gear.

However, T100 could be had with a manual trans, and you can easily load the bed from the side. I wish bought and kept a T100 from new. Manual trans and lower bed side are important features to me

I call T100 the 2/5 ton, I've always liked them and been tracking the prices for a while, it just seems to keep climbing and climbing or the ones available seem to be in worse and worse shape.

I'm intent to keep this truck for as long as there's gasoline, even then I'll do an ev swap after, this truck has a soul of its own.

2d gen here, procured used from a old retired man who past, son didn't want it..Dodge guy and bought from him locally with 18k on it, garaged kept, ammaculte condition with clean maintenance record if not just breaking in. Lol.
Did all my mods I need so far, few more to go. Absolutely a killer truck and keeping it til the wheels fall off. Side note, it has to beat my beloved 87' 4R which I had thru my whole military career at 295k and still running when I sold it to a local kid. That old indistructable 22RE 5speed. Literally bullet proof.
    5.7 Rock on. Salute.
