I think we will have it on hand for off grid adventures where we cannot take the trailer, and for guests that we do not want to share the trailer with...

Anyone mount a 270 degree awning on one of these racks yet?

 

I have not, but a foxwing would easily mount and work!

 

It does look like it would be easy to mount a fox wing on it.

This is how we have ours with the new Max Modular racks. The awning can be adjusted front to back as needed. I just set it up so the door doesn't hit it.

Here’s my 18” voodoo rack with maxtrax and James baroud tunnel awning and 10 gallon road shower. I have the James baroud grand raid roof top tent going on top. Came damaged from shipper and needs to be repaired first. Also, the most important part I have a retrax slider the aluminum one I think MX pro. It works great with the rack. Hard to put on by yourself. I did it and wish I had a hand. I had the backflip, but I couldn’t get it to open without heavily modifying the rack mounts or cover.

 

That looks really good. I don't ever plan on doing a roof top tent but kayaks awning. Liking the road shower idea.

The rack attaches to the bed rails the retrax attaches to the bed with the usual clamps. I will take a picture of how it mounts to everything when I get home today. Was a pain in the ass to get everything dialed in but it actually works great. Like I said before, two people doing it would have been way easier. The retrax has holes cut out from retrax for the stake holes. so They are still available to use. You can buy the retrax with it without the holes.

 

I'm guessing the bakflip revolver X2 won't work with it?

Here you go guys. The silver brackets that are attached to the bed are the retrax mx pro. The black flat bracket next to it that is attached to the bed rails is the voodoo racks. You can also see where the other bracket is on the retrax near the front of the bed. Hope that helps.
