Katzkin Leather Interior Offer

Finally got around to getting my katzkin installed -- I've had them in their boxes for over a year now.
Front Heated and Cooled
Rear Heated
Tuscany Leather in Ink (black) with Amaretto inserts - I wish the amaretto was a littler darker brown as Katzkin website shows but is what it is, might get darker with age
Feels nice to get rid of my old leather seats and and cooling works great. First time ever having a cooled/vented seats. Heat works just as well too.

 

I see your in Jersey, who did the install and if don't mind how much did they charge you?

Thinking in changing my 1794 look so I might order some Katzkin.

 

RSC Auto Restyling in cherry hill. Recommended to me. Had a pleasant experience. Contacted through email. Dropped it off Monday at 5 am. Paid over the phone. Had them lock my keys in the truck and I picked it up Tuesday night after hours to dodge traffic.

$2,000 for install which I though was high but I guess with all the heating and cooling and running the wires and switches it somewhat makes sense. I emailed them with what I had and that’s what they came back with. Don’t feel great about it lol I don’t know, couldn’t find a lot of info about install price around me either with people who got heated and cooled seats too, everything I read online was people just getting their cloth seats replaced with basic black leather. They were recommended to me by katzkin when I emailed them so kinda just said yes. Wonder what it would’ve been if I bought the katzkin through them and had them do everything. Oh well.

BUT I will say everything works. The install of the switches is clean. They had it done by Tuesday 10 am and everyone was very nice.

 

Wow that is expensive if it will be that much ill do it myself. I have heating and cooling already I wonder if that was the big extra.

 

I’d imagine it was for all the wires and 4 switches to install. Still expensive lol. Only one other auto upholstery shop near me but latest review was over 2 months ago that said work was mediocre and they don’t have a website lol so like eh. I agree I think it should’ve been around $1,200 personally but with work and life I didn’t have time to do it myself. Plus I had to get the boxes out of my house lol been there for a year just looking at me and had to make room for all the other parts I just ordered for the truck. Never ends.

Wow that is funny, I ran into a video of them doing Upholstery snice I was thinking in doing custom seats, but I believe the katskinz might be cheaper then having them make them from scratch.

 

He can do Katskinz's.

 

That sounds good, I'll see which way I go as I've not decided yet. I posted a thread to get some opinions.

Thank you for catching that. I am trying to find where I had to raise my prices due to MY costs going up. This happens every January like clock work unfortunately. Pretty sure I’ll find it and adjust.

 

Finally put my order in with John yesterday after mulling this over for a very long time now. I've always wanted cooled seats so I'm going that direction with the Degreez units. Looking forward to how this will change the feel of the truck.

John, I could probably search for the answers, but I think this may be quicker:

1. What is actually leather on the TRD Pro seats?

2. Is it worth upgrading TRD Pro seats to either standard or premium kit?

3. For wear and tear, is it better to get the standard or the premium kit? Will the vinyl edges of the seat and bolsters wear better than leather?

4. Are you able to do TRD logo with the "longer" R?

1. OEM TRD Pro seats are consistent with Katzkins Premium kit.

2. and 3. You can go either route when placing your order. Standard by far is most common. With the rear seats being mostly vinyl they are a lil more pliable and more resistant to scratches scuffs stains etc.

4. Just the logos you’ve seen on here are available. Although super close I still believe it is an infringement thingy.
