Katzkin Leather Interior Offer

They are overlays I bought off Amazon. I took a headrest to a few stores and found a spray that matches almost perfectly.

 

I painted some dash trim pieces to match the doors.

 

You may have just caused me to spend a lot of money updating the interior of my truck! That looks really good; it’s like a brand new truck!

 

That is beautiful, if only it wouldn't cost an arm & a leg to convert headliner and all pillars to black.

 

Also a big thanks to @jhuey8947 as well and just had mine installed Friday. They look beautiful.

Pricing is still very close to what’s posted on the first page. I emailed him and got a response within a day or two. I’m working on finding an installer.

Got my Katzkin seats installed today - very satisfied! I went with a much more understated look - basically, just premium leather with blue stitching, and of course seat heaters. Couldn’t be happier.

 

Looks nice. Got mine few weeks back installed as well.

Black, I believe. I'd have to check, because I ordered them right after Thanksgiving, and obviously it's been a minute since then LOL

 

Well nearly 2 years ago I bought a new set of leather from John, but not for my Tundra, but my new to me 2008 Pontiac G8. My goal was to turn it back from a more drag racing oriented car and back to a fun but well mannered street car. I also wanted to take the opportunity to completely change the color. The factory leather was a dark grey, and I wanted something different, but simple. John was patient with my indecision but eventually I settled on Mahogany with dark graphite stitching.

I got sidetracked with other projects on the car, and couldn't decide if I wanted to DIY it, or hand it off to the pros. In the end, I gave it to the pros since I also wanted the door inserts to match, and have a new center console wrapped to match as well. Needless to say it turned out perfect and I couldn't be happier. Thanks again @jhuey8947 Next up is the Tundra

A lot Total price was $1500 for the install. The doors jacked up the price a lot as they were not very serviceable from the factory. They also steamed the seat foam before installing the new leather and they feel great. The arm rest was also done along with all the necessary appearance stitching on that and the door inserts. I probably could have done the seats myself, but time is money, and sometimes I just prefer to pay the pros and go make money myself.

 

O WOW, $1500 is a lot. I think I paid $300 or $350, can't remember.

 

Yeah they had set prices for install of each part; $300 per front seat, $250 for the rear, but the doors were $500 I believe. Tons of labor involved. They had the car for an entire week. It hurt to spend that kind of money, but I know it turned out better than I could do it, and my time if more valuable sometimes.

I wish it had only cost me $350!! Maybe when I do the Tundra I'll try to DIY it, but I didn't want to be responsible for these old, poor quality GM plastics if they broke

jhuey8947 how does the premium compare to the Tundra 1794 leather interior? I have a rear passenger seat back that has the suede messed up in the bottom corner and the local auto upholstery shop does not seem to have a match for the suede.

2 years later my seats still look new and are holding up great. Better than OEM in my opinion. Was able to find a good local installer and did my console lid to match. Would highly recommend @jhuey8947 if you’re thinking about getting a nice interior upgrade.

 

Anyone got any pics of a 3rd gen Katzkin interior?

 

I've not seen any posted for Gen3, yet - I've just gone to the www. link in post #1 by John and followed the webpage links to the Gen3 options shown. I will be replacing my stock cloth with the Katzkin product when the time comes - I know many Tacoma owners (posts on TW) use them and are just as impressed. Maybe @jhuey8947 can chime in for pics of installs for Gen3 Tundras. GL.
