Recently purchased my 2nd Tundra. My first one was a 2011 SR5 that the dealer had added leather seats to before I had purchased. I was never a fan until then. Now leather is a must!

My new 2019 SR5 didn't have leather seats and the factory seats are absolutely hideous imo. So I went with the Katzkin leather with their "Degreez" heated/cooled option. I couldn't be happier!

The new seats make the truck look completely different inside.

Installed by a local Off Road Shop in the Houston Area.

$1500 for seats (Black With Graphite Piping/Stitching/Wings)
    $1500 for Heated/Cooled
    $3000 Total .....

I live in South Texas so the heated seats wont be used much but the cooling will be used allot!!!!

That looks much better than the factory!

How do you like the cooled? Feel a difference?

One day, I'll do katzkin and heating/cooling unit.

The hottest it has been since Ive installed them is in the low 70's but when you turn the cooling on its a night and day difference. There are fans mounted on the bottom and back of each seat that blow through a cooling element. The heat works great. I believe the heat is just an element mounted under the seat because the fans dont run when the heat is on. All in all I was skeptical about spending $1500 to have that option installed but I had the cash and I think it was well worth it.

48 hours. Lol. I just got them back Monday morning, and have only had about 30 minutes in the truck so far with them.

The leather in and of itself is incredible though, the seats are so much more comfy! And it's been in the 20's and 30's here, so haven't tried the cool yet, but the heaters are the bomb! I'm very happy with my purchase so far!

Yours look sick by the way, I love that slight bit of contrast. Very classy! I went with the suede in the wings and grey perforated holes for a little more contrast, and it's a little risky... But I like it so far. Hope I don't get tired of the look.

Dang, those look way better than even factory installed leather. They did a great job!

In my opinion they're way more comfortable too!

Yours look good as well. And second that on how comfortable and nice the leather is. I had one issue with mine was when I was sitting in either seat there was a hard round spot about 2" or so. I figured it was the cooling portion of the seat vent that comes up through the seat. After closer inspection the installer zip tied the vent tight to the bottom of the seat. I cut those zip ties now the vent moves with the seat. The fan is still zip tied to the seat but the vent can move freely now. It bothered me right after I got it back but its great now. Im curious on what other installers are charging for the degreez install. There arent many prices out there saying what it cost.

I like that diamond pattern on your wings. I did the piping on all the edges instead of double stiching.

I wonder if I pulled the front two seats, removed the factory covers, and brought them to a shop, how much they would charge to install the degreez system into the foam.
Then it would just be the new cover and wiring.
    Hmmmmm.....

For the cooling to work, I know you have to have perforated inserts and reticulating foam. I'm not sure any stock seats besides the 1794/platinum that might have that.

There's just a vent tube that goes from the cooling unit thru the foam and into a dispersion pad. (At least according to the vids I've seen)

You should just have to have perforated leather.

That is correct. Since I wanted the cooling I had to upgrade the seats with the perforated leather. If you just want heated seats its just a heating pad of sorts installed under the leather.

I'm having the Degreez system installed under perforated Katzkins this week. My question is, will this install affect my warranty in any way? I just bought my Tundra last month (after years of lusting) and got the extended warranty since it was well used. Don't want to throw that money away. Any thoughts, experiences?

I hope it doesn’t. Because I put mine on at like 6k miles, lol. Meh, screw it. If the heated seats didn’t, I’m sure my long tube headers, or drilling into my roof for my roof rack probably did.

Hell I put mine in at 1800 miles. ;) Im not sure what kind of warranty if any there is on the factory seats. The Katzkin leather is so much better than the factory cloth!

:) Guidance from my dealer was that it would not affect the warranty at all. In fact, my salesperson thought it was a great idea.

I don't mean to jack your thread, but I have to get something off my chest...

Your wonky gear lever and "TUNDRA" dash inlay stickers make my blood pressure rise.

    Edit: nice seats though!!

I did change out the gear lever with the Tacoma mode. And have since straighted the crooked T on the inlay. Lol
