    Guys,

I just picked up an 03 XCAB 4x4 V8 with 185K miles with a new frame and in fantastic shape from the original owner for $4K even. I am super happy with the truck. It drives great and needs nothing. A few minor scratches and that's it. Not a spec of rust anywhere. I has a CAI and I will be adding a lift, tires/wheels, paint and exhaust. I really love the truck so far. I feel I got a fantastic deal. The original owner was so nice he even filled the tank for me!

I don't have any specific questions yet. I just signed up and will browse for awhile before asking questions that have already been answered.

I did notice the oil pressure gage reads low at idle but it otherwise seems to be fine.

Oh also looking at new fender flares. Mine has the OEM flares and one has a small crack in it.

I was initially concerned about idle oil pressure too. I consulted the manual which says that's normal.

My truck did that too, the pressure comes back up when accelerator is pushed or your moving. Do you know if the owner changed the timing belt? Suppose to be done every 90k miles.

funny you mention that. I have no service records for that being done, so I finally got around to changing it, water pump, and pulleys. Based on condition it's been done before. But now I know for sure that it's good to go.

Good man, your good to go for another 90 to 100k. My truck was very reliable for the 10 years I had her, 2 starters, 2 O2 sensors, timing belt, water pump and 2 throttle position sensors. Sold her to my dad with 177k miles and he loves it!
