IMO- I would go trade it in, eat the money, get the 5.7, throw in the (basically free) supercharger and live life to the fullest. Just my .02...or .03

Certainly a way for OP to win. Some extra spending around new baby time though. Labor for install, any missing items for fit kit, +BullyDog tune for 16'.

Also is PO shady or what? Do you trust putting that on a new truck after PO wasn't truthful about what it was installed on?

OP, good luck. Besides it not fitting on your truck, you will make out on this deal.

I'm pretty pissed about this...mostly because I really wanted the supercharger on my truck. I'm no trading the truck in either.

    Will the TRD exhaust fit?

I feel your pain OP. Everything will work out though. Yes the exhaust will fit, as long as you have a Double Cab or Crew Max.

Thanks for the help fellas. Y'all got me all wound up last night when I was having some beers though! lol. The point of the beer was to relax!

Supposed to have the parts on Monday. At that point, I'll be putting it up for sale (except the exhaust).

In all seriousness OP, that sucks it doesn't fit, but you still have a SWEET ride and will for sure end up with some extra mod money from selling the SC. I would take the old lady out to a nice dinner with some of the profit and then not tell her what you used the rest of it for.

Just make sure you get everything. Also get as much I go as you can on the wrecked truck. Any pictures, mileage, any paperwork from the SC purchase or install, etc. All that will help you and baby momma make more money on it, or sell it faster.
"Good news babe, we made $500 on that supercharger"
"That's great! Is your truck higher? It's harder to get in now.."
    "Nope:spy:"

I swear I could throw on a set of Kings and she wouldn't notice. Then again, she can buy a new dress or does something different with her hair and I don't notice. The only difference is I get in trouble when I don't notice.

Most likely I'll just do the other things I had originally planned.

Upgrading the sound system, wheels and maybe Nfabs.

Why not headers? With your TRD exhaust it should be a bit of a difference compared to stock.

    There were TRD S/Cs for:
    3.0L Camry
    3.4L Tacoma/4Runner
    4.0L Tacoma/FJ Cruiser
    4.5L Land Cruiser
4.7L Tundra (rather rare and worth $ if servicable)
    5.7L Tundra

There was even one from the factory for the Previa but I don't think it was TRD and I don't know what the engine displacement was. I think that there were some for some of the 4 cylinder Hilux trucks too, but were private manufacturers.

Joe, I think this is a blessing in disguise. Even if the supercharger fit on your truck, it would have put your power in the mediocre range. A part that expensive is a waste if it doesn't put you into the "insane" power range. I think you'll be able to sell it for a good chunk of change which you'll be able to do a whole lot more upgrades with.

You're probably right. I don't think I need my first supercharged vehicle being my daily driver that I'll have my first baby girl in everyday. Won't be able to have the fun with it that Id want to.

Hey, in the long run it looks like I'm gonna make 2k after putting a TRD exhaust on. I can think of worse "problems" to have. Haha

Well, uncle has the S/C and it's for a 4.7

That puts a damper on things for you fellas I'm sure.

Any suggestions on the best place online to sell that? I should still be able to turn a decent profit I would think

So that's for 2009 and earlier, I believe, with the 4.7 V8. I think you'll have a better chance selling it here than anywhere else.
