Can anyone confirm center speaker is the one voice control comes through. Seems you wouldn't want to disconnect if so.

Anyone know what are good side dash speaker replacements? Or are most people disconnecting them if they go with components

If I'm correct though I wouldn't want to disconnect the center dash speaker cause that one also controls the voice command correct?

No it doesn't. The center dash is wired in with the other two dash speakers. The installers just disconnected it when the installed my Amp.

To answer the dash speaker questions.
They run off the head unit not on the factory amplifier. In Brett's build we left them on the factory head if you place components on the dash and the kids in the doors you will have a time alignment issue the tweet is too far from the mid at that point. Running the dash speakers off the factory head unit unless you run a good prossesor.

    Could you PM the cost???

I've been quoted $4500-$7800 for audio upgrade here in the Atlanta area and I am very interested in you setup.

If you are anywhere near Georgia, you need to hit up James Randy Taylor at Tech12Volts. He’s in Alma. He is the king of things Tundra audio. His pricing is unbeatable as well. He has installed hundreds of systems in our Trucks.

Beast! - hows the door speakers sounding?

I just added the JL c1 dash tweeters and was thinking on the C2650's for the doors.

New to the form. Looking to upgrade my 2018 Crew Max Tundra.

Did you replace the tweeters in the dash and the middle speaker also ?

has anyone toyed with the idea of running a three way setup with tweeter in the sails and mids in the dash sides and running new wire to the mid

I've a lot of 3way systems. But the best way to do them is with a dsp processor. Otherwise you will have odd time alignment issues.

I went all JL....amp subs c2's for the door and c1 across the dash... I tried the dsr1 with factory head unit and eventually pulled that and went Kenwood echelon 1007. The sound is amazing....put multiple layers of sound deadening on the doors ...floor and back wall. Got most of my stuff from James @tech12volt.

James and I friends. We have different options on some things. But we both know these trucks quite well.
