Plug and play! For 2018+ all you have to do is just switch the bulbs and you're good. Here's a short video comparison of OEM on the passenger side and JDM bulb on the driver side. It's at least twice as bright. No load resistors needed!

    https://youtu.be/t7fzYSOuQzM

Here's a screenshot of both bulbs at the peak of brightness:
    IMG_5372.jpg

I also switched out my main brake light bulbs to LEDs with these -

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MYX6Z2N/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Which I would say are at least 50% brighter than stock bulbs. And they work great! (also plug and play)

Started a new thread because I didn't want this to get lost in the shuffle seeing as there was a lot of confusion about this.

I'll be buying some bulbs for the rear blinkers soon (once I find the right ones) and I'll report back on if they are plug and play or not.

Pre-2018 tundras with the 18+ LED headlight conversion will need resistors. Ask me how I know.

I really don’t understand why it is that in 2019 this is still an issue. Any do ANY manufacturers still use incandescent bulbs?

Yeah it's pretty nuts they still use the old style bulbs. I pulled my LED blinker bulbs out due to hyperflash but eventually I'll put them back in with resistors, they really are very dim as they are now

I was so mad that day when I was freezing my ass off in 0 degree weather only to have those LED bulbs hyper flash. Pissed me off.

I bought the JDM Astars for my front DRL/Signal (amber) and Stop/Tail/Marker (red), but after looking at the Antline "Extremely Bright" LEDs (amber/red/white), I think I like the Antlines better in all applications where they will fit.

For my 2017 with 2018 headlights, they will fit the applications above plus Back-up. Bulb life claim is higher, and Amazon reviews on the Antlines show only 2% one star, 96% 4-5 stars, so people really like them. By comparison, JDM Astar in white has like 13% one star rating with lots of short life complaints. The amber and red JDM Astars review better.

The Antlines are identical in appearance to the JDM Astars, and lumen rating is the same as well. They could have chosen a better company name. :D

I have a 2018, will these both be just plug and play? @CCLJ03

Reason I'm asking because Amazon says the yellow doesn't fit my 2018 Tundra.

Plug and play depends on which bulbs you're replacing. Check the bulbs listed in your owner manual. Unless they've changed the rear bulbs from 2017, the rear Signal (921) takes a different LED than that Antline (3157), but the Antline WILL work in the Stop/Tail light position. Confirm by checking your owner manual.

I have a 2019 TRD Sport. Do you think I will need resisters, I am confused because a bunch of people say yes, and some say no. I just want to plug and be done.

The JDMs in the front will not need resistors. Brake lights don’t blink so you’ll also be good there without resistors.

The rear blinkers seem to always need resistors. Haven’t found an affordable option that have real reviews where people didn’t need resistors.

Ordered the rear brake lights and they were plug and play (2019 Limited TRDOR). Brake lights are super bright, a nice cheap upgrade. So I went and ordered the front blinkers just now.
I was rear ended so many times in my last Tundra that I wanted to put a sign back there "Yes, it's me, please don't hit me again". 3 or 4 new bumpers (lost track) + at least one straighten and re-chrome. Whatever I can do to be more visible (how does one miss a Tundra?) I'll do, within reason, and this is a good idea that doesn't cost your first born. Hopefully they will last a few years at least.

In that case, don't forget to also install LED in the high mount brake light. It'll be a different bulb number...see your owner manual.

Reason I'm asking is because that Amazon link had a bulb type 744X. I thought our was 3157?

If you have the stock headlights, look up the bulb number in the owner's manual. Bulb specifications are in the index under "Light Bulbs"...in the 2017 OM this is in the "Specifications" section, page 528.

    I ordered this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FBYPQ1M/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Antline 3157 amber yellow with projector. I hope it's right, guess I will find out. Probably won't get the time to put them in till next weekend.
EDIT: AARRRRGGGGG doesn't fit. Yea every where I went online looking for 'front signal bulbs' for 2019 said 3157 but nope. I guess that's the one for the headlight assembly that is for Tundras without the LED headlight. Sigh. Should have looked more carefully at the manual. 7444NA single color is what I need as my truck DRL is the leds around the housing edge. So back to Amazon...

So I bought and installed these last spring for my rear brake lights.

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MYX6Z2N/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Now lately I've had a few issues including brake light not working at all and also strobe affect. So I removed both LED brake lights and went back to stock a month ago. Co-worker told me my brake light was out after work today. I'll change the bulb out again to a non led bulb and see if it works.

Would using a LED bulb mess anything up without using a resistor?
