You’re not helping anyone by giving an opinion on something you dont know about.

Its fine but definitely worth it in my opinion, as someone who actually has one. Its just as good as the Bose systems in Porsches which is a $900 option with them. It wont blow you away like a Burmester system, but thats a $5k option from ze germans.

I say right there I have heard it, I tested it and said it was way better than the 2.5 gen JBL. not sure why your calling me out there.

its still sucks compared to my aftermarket system though, but so does everything else.

so, Ill be clear , the gen 3 JBL is way better than the gen 2.5 JBL, platinum to platinum. and yes, I have tested in my garage at home

Awesome, sounds good. I fall in the category of: definitely wanting better sound, I don't want to fall down the research rabbit hole, and would much rather plug and play self-install rather than take it in and pay $$ for the labor not the equipment. If Tech12volts or Taco Tunes can ship me a setup, then that's perfect. Thanks.

Sorry, I rolled the 3posts into one, I thought it was clear that you were the example to my point because you shared that you changed your mind about it. I am not very savvy using the smartphones for the words.
I was calling out the other guy, not you! He seems hell bent to shit on the Gen 3 JBL for no other reason than "because"

A '75 Vega has a better audio system than the Gen 3s.

Seriously though, I had an '18 Limited CM with the JBL, and the JBL in my '22 is much better. JBL in my '18 was anemic at best. I would think that the new JBL is more than sufficient for the average consumer.

After a few more days driving mine and listening to a variety of things on it I think I have an evaluation that everyone can relate to:

It's about $350 better than your average rental car.

SavageGeese does pretty extensive audio testings and their findings rate it better than the LX 600 Mark Levinson. Now, that could be like saying Wendy's chicken sandwiches are better than McDonald's, but it's an interesting comparison considering ML reputation on the Lexus.

Yup it’s a decent stereo, better the the factory 2019 job I had. Weird with what sounds like subwoofer in the front though, not sure if is but seems like it.

Nope, I don't believe it's any good. It sucked in my 2003 Solara, especially when playing a tape.

It has to still suck, it's not like anything changed!

Well, it doesn't play tapes so that's changed. Maybe it was your tapes that sucked?

Unlike vinyl records, cassette tapes absolutely do not sound better than digital. They sound tiny and have a low hiss in the background and will start to worble if you listen to the same tape over and over too many times.

Like I said, maybe your tapes.

High bias differential offset tape with linear nano particles.

Sounded awesome in my GPX clock radio, but total ass in my Solara
