I took my wife to see her OB/GYN today for a checkup. Before we left, she got in line to book her next appointment, standing 6 ft from the lady ahead of her. Some lady wearing a mask came up right behind and asked my wife if she was in line and my wife was too polite to ask her to step back. If I hadn't gone to stand in a corner far away from everyone, I definitely would have. These are the type of people we need strict regulations for.

Here in Oregon we can't pump our own gasoline so that's a none issue and as it is, we pretty much stick close to home where we have everything we need, I really hate going to town anyway.

 

Does that mean you have to get within 6 feet of the guy who pumps the gas for everyone?

 

Never understood that law. It would be useful when it’s cold outside or raining. Will they grab you some beer and a pack of smokes?

 

New Jersey is that way too and I almost got in a fight with a guy over it the first time I encountered it?
I thought he just wanted a tip for pumping the gas.
You would think they might make it well known for those not from the state.

 

I don't understand... "our town isn't safe..." which is probably due to others bringing whatever to your front door and your response is, "Where can I bring it over to now?"

Do you understand how serious a 1% mortality rate is? Hard to relax when the best case scenario is 100,000 dead. WTF

 

That's an order of magnitude higher than seasonal influenza. And the data from Italy would say you can only keep it to 1% if you have strict regulations for isolation and a good plan of how to deal with the infected so they don't infect others. If you're not prepared, it could be 10%.
