Added a child mirror in the small sunglasses flip down holder

 

Added a matching 285/75/18 full size spare.




Tire is used, but the plan is to never have to use it.




Fits well under the truck after removing the two tabs.

 

Stumbled upon a new set of gloss black handles...


One replaced, one original (obviously too excited to keep the camera straight)...

FINALLY, the proud owner of a DD exhaust!!

Can not believe I waited three tundras and almost 10 years to install one.

 

Helmholtz resonator installed. Absolutely thrilled with the interior sound, and lack of noise complaints from the family.

 

Are there any mods you haven't done to your truck?? Good lord lol

Great job on the mods. Can you provide some more details on the DIY box? I had one on a previous truck and this looks easy to do vs $250

 

I used two L brackets that attached to the forward most tie down system bolts in the bedside.

cut the board to length (had to angle the back corners to avoid pinching the cover’s drain hoses).

used a third L bracket to attach to the center tie down bolt location.

the front rubber seal is from an old tonneau cover gasket, but I’d imagine any type of flexible gasket would work. It’s simply attached by heavy duty staples.

Hope this helps. I agree with you regarding the cost of the bak box. I can store quite a lot in my $12 box.

No photos of the actual install as it was super easy and took longer to unbox it, then it did to install it.

The rear camera clarity at night is significally improved without the license plate lights shining up into the camera.

 

Relocated my rear window switch, thanks to @abomb60 printed panel.



Lots of sanding required, but the end result is worth it.

Panel is painted the same satin black as the gear selector and cup holder trims.

Puts the switches I use most in a very accessible location. Right at my finger tips.

Added color matched vinyl to the grill letters. Very pleased with the subtle pop it gives.

 

Removed the mesh guts of the throttle body gasket






sooo long engine whistle!

 

That’s why the engine whistles under load??

 

that is correct. It is located behind the throttle body. 4 10mm and one clamp is all it takes to access it.

 

Added some patches to the inside of the rear seat armrest area.

 

Played with the foam cannon today!

 

Great build. Did you use a positap to tap into the footwell light wire? I want to do LEDs for the running boards.

I could have, but since I added footwell lights as well, I simply cut the light socket off of the pair of wires running to it.

 

Toggle switch added next to console rear power outlet. Power is taken from rear cigarette power.



Switch is connected to two small dark orange LEDs mounted in the bottom of the console facing outward towards the doors.




The goal is to add ambient lighting for the rear passengers without it effecting the driver (me).

This photo is taken facing the floor. The bulb can be seen in the top left. On the right side is the shadow it casts across the floor and onto the door panels.




Provides just enough light for rear passengers/kiddos when traveling in the dark.

I have the a plan similar to this. Center front cup holder areas. Never thought of this area but very useful, I might as well since I had to buy LED’s and the 5mm holders by the dozen, might as well use them.

 

this is the exact reason I did it. I had extra LEDs from another project and the switch was from an old stereo piece. So this was essentially a free mod.

 

Looks great. I debated that Bronze but ended up in the newer Mesquite color.
