Happy Birthday to your beautiful truck, haha.

Mine will be 5 years old in a few weeks, but it looks nothing like yours!

Very ironic right there considering you build huge barns/shops/anything for a living!!

I like your first post pictures in this thread. I looked at the background and realized that was a garage door behind you. Lol. No way that beast is going in there!

Been a hell of a transformation into what it is today. Be interesting putting a SC on....

    Flux capacitor!
    Thank you Chris!

My truck is a tight squeeze on some garage doors but it’s to big to fit in my own garage door.

I’m still itching for a SC! With the 4.88 gears, Auburn LSD, CA intake, long tube headers, soon to be full 3” race exhaust and bully dog tuner, how can I resist?!

The install is fairly straight forward. It comes with the trailer harness to plug in. I cut the plug off and direct wires it into my trailer harness. The wires are labeled on your harness to show what’s turn signals, brake and reverse.

Have been looking at this v the Putco Blade... May be leaning to the Opt7 on price alone... But, can anyone give me a quick synopsis of how it is wired in? Hardwired or plugged into trailer plug (would rather hardwire...) Also, do they block the hope used to access the spare?
If I'm not mistaken, @1UPPER, do you have the Opt7 and the VLED LPR?

    Flux capacitor!
The Opt7 will come with a trailer plug that can be plugged into the trailer harness. I didn’t want to see the plug or have my trailer harness taken up by the opt7. If you look at your trailer harness plug on the rear bumper it will tell you which wire is the reverse, brake, left signal and right signal. You can use t taps, wire crimps or soldier the wires on. I elected to soldier and heat shrink the wires on. The best money I’ve ever spent at my local hobby store was a good soldier machine. Makes the process easy and enjoyable!

There are clips on the light bar to remove it to get access to the spare tire. I do not have a spare tire so I wasn’t worried about the light bar blocking my spare tire.

The tin clips don’t work for crap. I mounted mine on a section of aluminum strap with a screw at each end so I can remove to get to the spare tire. Love the opt 7

I wonder if you could use Velcro to help attach it? The thickness of the Velcro may put the opt7 to close to the tailgate when the tailgate is open though. Just a thought for others to consider I guess.

No sir. I don’t like the ride of having the coilovers cranked all the way up. I prefer comfort over having a taller truck.
