My D light went out for awhile before coming back on and staying on to this day, quite odd. I didn't plan on fixing it either way though.

About a year ago I dead ended in a slot canyon, so I backed up and turned around when I could. I caught my trailer wiring harness on a rock and mangled it up pretty badly. This truck doesn't tow too often so it's not a high priority item to fix. Could probably just stick the wires into the plug if I had to I guess. I have the wiring harness from my old Chevy so maybe I could put that to use eventually.

I just swapped the "L" with the "D" light after it went out.

I've been driving for probably over 75K miles now with the bearings on the power steering pump making a lot of noise until the vehicle warms up after driving.

It's been especially bad this last week. Hopefully it'll wait until spring before it lets go and I end up with manual steering. I hate doing repairs in the cold weather outside.

Oh, yeah. I forgot the worn out rear shocks that are still original when I bought the truck in 02.

They don't leak and they still pass the bounce test with 225K+ miles on them, soooo....

The covers that go over them however are rusted to death. They'll fall apart if you barely touch them.

TPMS light . . . is there any way (other than black electrical tape) to disable that mother f'ing light?

I agree, but I have grown so used to it that now when I see a light I know I'm not in D. Its almost a more chill vibe having it not light up if that makes sense.

It brought a smile to my face knowing this has happened to multiple other people.

Another one is my rear mudflaps were both torn off on the trail. Passenger's side came off about six months before the drivers side so I was driving with only one mudflap on the truck.

The other one got ripped off too so now I'm flapless. I noticed when they came off so I still have them in my garage. They're ripped up so they can't be reinstalled however.

I bought a Certified Pre-Owned 2009 Tacoma in 2011, and they boasted that same checklist - even gave me the checklist to show off everything the checked. A week later I flipped on my wipers and they flopped around like spaghetti, just absolutely shredded, per the checklist "Wiper blades checked - In like new condition" I drove back to the dealership and asked for some replacement ones, and the salesman said the best he could do is give me employee pricing. I asked to speak to the manager, told him I either want new blades - or I want a tech to go over the other 129 points on the checklist while I watch to prove it was all checked. Manager walked me over and replaced the blades himself. I refused to ever go back to that dealership for anything after that, even after buying my previous two vehicles from them.

Mine has been on about two months. Resetting did not work. Small piece of black electrical over the flashing light eliminated the distraction. And you can even tell there is tape there. It blends with the black instrument panel.
