That's good info! I was under the truck the other day and noticed how nasty all that linkage was, now I have an excuse to clean it!

My 07 had to have transmission replaced while I was on an out of town trip. I was running down the interstate and it started down shifting really bad back and forth. Stopped and looked for fluids but none seen. Got back in and started it up and lights began flashing on the dash. Luckily I was able to limp it into a dealership and had them check it out.

Tranny had to be replaced. I had right at 177k miles on her and here I was out on the road away from home so I was SOL. Four days later and congrats here's your new rebuilt tranny from Toyota for $5k.

I had noticed the shifting had been getting rough well before my trip. I took it in to Toyota and they looked it over and drove it and said they really couldn't find what the issue was.

I kept the truck another year but started feeling the same issue again and I was in the market for a new truck after 11 years so I traded it for my 2018 CM.

Wow exact same issue popped up after a Toyota rebuilt tranny? I would’ve hoped that paying the extra for a Toyora reman would lead to a longer service life. This is good info to know.
