Live in northern MI and I’m fearing the new truck’s first winter. Probably get Krown treatment at local shop. Want to keep frame good, but more concerned about rocker panels and cab corners. The tundras I have looked at appear to hold up pretty well here, at least from my viewpoint of walking by. I’ve seen 3-4 year Rams with gaping holes in rocker panels...no thanks.

Not a lot honestly. You just kind of deal with the idea of vehicles being a throw away. You start to see rust holes in a lot of trucks at about the 5 year mark, 05+ cars seem to be much better than the older ones.

I had Rhino Lining spray inner+outer rockers and the cab corners on my 04 when I bought it. Said they found a slight hole in the driver's corner but cleaned it up, lined it, and oiled everything that was coated. That was almost 4 years ago and everything still looks good.

I have the underside of my Tundra sprayed by a place called NH oil which uses a product similar to Fluid film. I pay $180 annually to have it done. It makes a huge difference, I’m happy with it.
