Is this repairable???

    Straight from the Tire Manufacturers association. This pretty much explains it all. Never plug a tire. Never repair a tire with any type of external only repair. Always dismount the tire and perform a complete inspection to make sure there is no damage to the inner liner. It has nothing to do with the “chain stores that want to sell more tires”, it’s about your safety. And that Family tire repair shop someone mentioned? Do they carry liability insurance?     The patch would depend more on what was in it , if bigger nail or screw , or if a slight cut , then the patch from inside would have to be done. Just be sure when plugging to ream good and fold plug when pushing thru ,so you have 2 ends sticking out to cut off. And patches do have stems to pull thru to act as a plug .
