When was a pro 50% more expensive? Most SR5 are 55-58k, TRD pros are 69-73k.

A Pro only needs to be marked up to $87k to be 50% more expensive than an SR5 @ $58k. I remember seeing some Pros sell for more than that early on.

A few idiots sure. Majority are just going for window. Maybe window + dealer nitrogen, tint, etc.

If my heart were set on one, I’d wait a looooooong time to not piss $15-20k down the drain

I waited and bought the TRD Pro in the colour I wanted, and I'm really glad I did. I had the opportunity during my wait on a TRD Pro in another colour, a Capstone, and a Platinum. But I'm really glad I waited and got the truck I initially wanted. To me, the Pro was worth it, I look forward to driving whenever I do.

You can’t build an SR to a pro spec so that’s out.

Building an SR5 to a pro spec you’d have to start out with the TRD OR package, premium package, BSM package, convenience package, etc. That gets you to the 57-58k range and from there you would do the suspension, etc swap. But you’d still have the non hybrid, no pano roof, and a few other features.
