My comments weren't snarky. If you chose to take them that way, that's unfortunate. I was only trying to be helpful and expressing my lack of understanding in your logic. My mistake for not realizing you wanted everything to look like a Pro. I wasn't thinking of the hood scoop at all, and didn't think the grille swap would be needed if it had a color matched surround. All I was considering were wheels, suspension, and skid. If you want all the Pro looks, then yes, you're better off just buying the Pro right off. The only other way I see to do it would be to get an SR5 with the TRD Sport package, and add aftermarket leather (though I think there used to be an SR5 leather package?) because you can get the BSM on those and it would already have the dark lights, scoop, etc. I'm relatively sure you could upgrade the wheels, suspension, skid, and even seats for less than the difference between the two trims a couple years ago. With the market craziness, who knows now. If 99% of what you want is already offered on the Pro and you don't want to fart around with installing (I know I don't) then I can totally understand going the Pro route.

As for the original question about BSM and why it's not on the Pro, I can only guess. That guess would be that because the Pro is marketed as off road they might have expected the rear bumper to take some knocks due to the less than stellar departure angle, or that the bumper would be replaced entirely. In the damage scenario you would have some sensitive and expensive sensors to deal with, or in the aftermarket world you would have almost no support for the function. Like I said, that's just my best guess.

Best of luck in your truck hunt, and if you decide to add BSM, check our Casey's build. Dude knows his electronics.

The Pro is fine. I like my truck. Go for it, you won't be disappointed in a missing feature. At most, I'm just "unhappy" that they removed basic features in order to add useless features.

Correct. Not snarky. Confused. Once you explained that you wanted more from the Pro than wheels and suspension, then it became more clear. The Faux Pros don't generally go for more than that and some color matching bits. Swapping a grille, wheels, and suspension is more common than wiring in expensive safety sensors, so I was puzzled.

Either way, it doesn't matter. With Casey's guide/help you'll have your shiny white Pro all wired up as you like it.

So can a Canadian sr5 with trd off road package have rcta and bsm? I found a sr5 with the two hole cutouts on the back bumpers for the parking sensors so I figure if it has that then it should have bsm and rcta right? In US that is the convienance package but I know I’m Canada those packages don’t exist lol. Sr5 versions in Canada have heated seats and sunroof so if has bsm and rcta then Canada is a better buy.

Finally. Someone that’s actually thought this through. I think your pricing for the “Pro” stuff is low though. It’s likely more.

The only thing the 2021 Pro is missing from the Platinum and 1794 are BSM, RCTA, cooled seats, and folding mirrors. It makes sense too. The truck is built for the trails. Having folding mirrors for example wouldn’t be great for off-roading. If you were to damage it, it would be more expensive to replace it. I chose the Pro for all the same reasons you mentioned. It makes more sense to buy the Pro and go from there.
As far as the JBL system I think it gets a bad wrap. I replaced the factory sub with one that’s compatible with the amp and it’s sounds way better. I’m never changing it out now.
