I just purchased my 07, original owner had traded it in for a Ford Raptor. It only had 52k miles on it, but it did have a carfax report of a rear end collision back in 2010. Lots of folks (including me) don't really like an accident report on a carfax, but I decided that the accident was 7 years ago and the original owner wasn't worried enough about it to get rid of it, therefore it probably wasn't that bad. Mine was priced 2k over book at the dealer. I made an offer of book and they declined. I waited until the end of the month (3 weeks) and contacted them back and made the same offer and they took it. I would look up the value and use the tool for your area, my area the dealers use nadaguides.com, not KBB.com. So you can pull the value and check out the average trade in, that will be what the dealer put into it. Start from there with an offer of 1000.00 profit to them and work from there. Most of the time, they will turn a vehicle for 1k.

Yeah the damage thing does concern me too. May be nothing at all. Try to find out what you can.

For what it's worth Disney World is built on Florida Swamp land and the surrounding land prices have sky rocketed since that happened years ago.

I have the app on phone for all three:
    NADA
    Kelly Blue Book
    Edmunds

Dealers used NADA as it always carry a higher sell value.

    I use KBB to negotiate.

    Bought my 08 SR5-TRD at $18k and 115k miles.

It's also good to check around for local values. NADA, KBB, and Edmunds are ridiculously low for what used Tundras go for here in Denver. Even more way low on anything that has a Jeep logo.
