Oh yes I'm well aware, I've already watched every video I could lol. For what I do, and my needs, the only real perk would be the adjustability.

The product is definitely solid. Their salesman just seem to not be well versed in all they sell. But that isn't too surprising honestly, they sell a lot of products for tons of platforms.

I ended up going Dobinsons Coilovers, shocks, and leaf springs, and Ironman UCA and shackles.

I couldn't agree more. I was ready to dump twice the money on other brands. Sure glad I didn't!!! PLUSH is how I would describe the ride on or off road.

Love the look of your pickup with the stock wheels!!

Yeah I do like their greasable bushings, but I want more adjustability on the rear. That's why I like the Dobinson's. It's less complete, so I can actually piece it together how I want. So I'll get adjustable rear shackles, and the "secret SPC" adjustable upper control arms from rock auto and still be way under budget.

Sorry, I'll stop spamming this ironman thread lol. I did almost pull the trigger last fall, and I wish I had. But with the price hike it's just not good for me given my other options now.

Thanks! I was really surprised how well they looked after I put the new tires on them. Even the mechanic at the shop said the tires really make the rims pop. I guess I can funnel my money elsewhere for some other mods now LOL.

For sure. I went Ironman Shackles and bushings mostly because they're stock size. I have CB +1s and +3s I will be listing in the next couple weeks on the forum, but I went stock so I can keep the rear end at 2.25 inches of lift.

So if I buy just assembled front shocks and the rear shocks how much lift in the front would I get? Are they adjustable or is it 3.5 inches. I was going to go the bilstein route but was thinking of these with toytec shackles. Thoughts?

Isn’t 3.5” a bit too high for the front? Not much down travel left, and I would think the ball joint and CV angles would be comparatively severe. If true, I take it you can crank them back down?

Yes it's adjustable. Their reps say the kit lifts everything 3.5" all around. I will bring mine down to 3"

I really only want 2.75ish of lift. 3 max. Is that possible with these. The website doesn't give a range

The guys at Ironman say the kit is designed to work together, piece-mealing it together with other components will obviously produce different results and that may not be good. But then again it may alright depending what different parts you use. I can tell you, it does work very well together. The other benefit the complete kit provides is reduced body roll. I was told that there is no need for the TRD sway bar with this kit.

Not at all. The struts are longer and the CA is designed for the extra down travel.

Yes, they can be adjusted down, but then you'll have more rake if you go with the entire kit.

Ok. Probably buy just the front coilovers and rear shocks and acheive my rear lift with toytec shackles. Kinda like what I was going to so with the bilstein. How is the coilover adjustable spanner wrench?

Oh, ok. When I looked into long and mid-travel, I was told both longer lower and upper arms were needed to increase travel, notwithstanding longer CV axles and tie rod ends that were also needed. The main purpose of aftermarket UCAs is to correct geometry from added lift by helping with alignment (mainly caster), alleviating increased upper ball joint angles and preventing coilover contact on downtravel. As a consequence, aftermarket UCAs may also increase rebound travel by 1/2” to 1” with proper coilovers (mid-travel), but overall wheel travel remains mostly the same unless other components (CV axles, lower control arms and tie rod/steering) are also lengthened/widened.

Anyway, that’s what I gathered when I spoke to some of the shops years ago about it, but I admit I could have misunderstood what they were trying to explain. The one thing they emphasized is there’s a reason true long travel costs thousands of dollars to get right, which is the main reason I abandoned my quest to pursue it further. I think the midtravel setup is a good compromise for folks like us, and it sounds like your Ironman setup achieves that.

I'm getting some vibration between 50-60mph. I don't think it's ironmans fault more just a cause and effect of having a lift. I installed the carrier bearing drop and even added a few washers last week and it didn't help. It may be my 285/75r18 Goodyear Duratracs. They are very heavy tires and probably hard to balance. Anyone else having this issue? I'm thinking of ordering their pinion angle shim for the rear axel.

I also have spidertrax wheel spacers on my steel wheels. I've retorqued them a few times already but maybe this is the issue...

Take the spacers off and then go for a spin. You shouldn't need them with the 285/75r18. It might be tight without them, but they should be okay on stock wheels.

I had problems with Spidertrax spacers before, and I'm generally not a fan of them at all, even when they work. It's just another potential failure point, and does your wheel bearings no favors.

On the Foamcell pro stage 2 kit it was approximately $200. Now part of this was to a website glitch. Not sure if anybody else caught this but if you selected “prebuilt coilovers” there wasn’t an up charge. There is now. I don’t know if they made people that bought during that time pay that extra fee. Im sure the other small amount is due to a combo of material price and new pricing for the year. I have no actual knowledge of that part. It’s just a guess.

Vibrations are usually cost by bad wheels balance or alignment issues.

    Did you get it aligned?

My toe on one wheel was out by a mile after the install but that was taken care of right after the install. Had new Cooper's Discoverer AT3 XLT put on and they're pretty big. Rides beautiful and virtually no road noise.

It is not uncommon for the rear pinion angle to be out of spec with leaf replacements. The lift they provide is typically so much greater than the typical shackle lift. One thing to look out for that might help diagnose it is if you have any vibration from stopped. Slowly accelerate from a stop and see if you feel a slight "rumble strip" sensation for the first second of so.
