Ironman Foam Cell Pro Lift. 2018 retro fit LED headlights, TRD grill, TRD rear sway bar.
Well just pulled the trigger on a set or Foam Pros. Only did stage 1 since I plan to limit the lift to 3 inch or under. Can always add the UCA later. Now the wait for delivery. hoping to use my stock TRD OR wheels and get some 285/70 tires to complete the set up. Will post in a few weeks when everything is installed.

Did you set them at 3" in the front or did you request them set at 3"?

I didn’t request anything. Just ordered stage 2 set.
That kit came set as 10” , that is around 3.5” lift in theory.
I have rci metal skid plates and some other equipment so I end up around 3.25” lift
I’m still about to install SSO slim bumper and winch so I will be around 3” after all.
    Will see.

Did you do the full leaf pack in the rear? I was hoping that would yield more than 2" of lift.

Yes I did. 2” lift. I have 400 pounds in the bed full time so it sits in 1”

Okay thanks. So empty it should lift it around 3", but you keep 400lbs in the bed so you're only seeing a 2" lift. That's what I was hoping for, I just wasn't sure how truthful their 3.5" lift claim is. I don't want to have to go back in there and add shackles or a block unless I need to. And I imagine the constant load springs will be way too much with a typically unloaded bed.

You still can put different shackles, If you wanna go more.
I just tell you, its very well build kit and everything working together so nice.
    I wouldn't mess with it.
From my experience, if you trying put different parts working well together you have to know what you doing and what you like to accomplish on the end.

Oh don't worry I understand that. And yes I would prefer to just use the full kit, shackles and greasable bushings included. I didn't want to have to get a lift shackle if I didn't need to, so I'm glad it hear it does yield at least around 3".

My old first gen Tundra I built my own leaf pack, and while it did work extremely well, it also kind of rode like a dump truck lol. I'm trying to avoid that this time yet still maintain the rake I desire.

I was looking at the Ironman Pro or the Eibach coil overs and building my kit to save money, but I really like the ironman kit. Is anyone running the constant rear springs unloaded? I plan to add a bumper later down the road and would rather be prepared. I don't mind a little stiffer suspension as my other truck was a 3/4 ton cummins.

I asked this question to the a little while ago, and they said unloaded it may yield around 5.5" of lift, and will probably be quite stiff. I was tempted to do the same, but I don't want excessive lift since I'll mostly be unloaded. That's why I have the Timbrens for when I put a real heavy load in.

That seems excessive lift at 5 1/2" for the rear. I would have thought maybe another 1". LOL

I agree it seemed like a lot to me too. I'm not sure if it just includes and extra leaf, or if the pack is simply built with thick/stronger leaves. I figure I'll just get the performance pack, and worse case, I'll add an AAL of some sort if I really needed to down the line.

Yeah if that number is true this also has me second guessing the constant weight pack.

I don't know if it works the same with the tundra leaf packs, but the guys on Tacoma world were removing a leaf or two and then if they changed their setup and added more weight they were going to put a leaf or two back in.

Most manufacturers recommend waiting until you are putting on the minimum weight before adding their spring package. I know a guy who looped his truck on a washboard road twice because he didn't keep the minimum weight on the truck. He learned after the second time as he made contact with another vehicle.

They have a pretty great live chat on their website, so you could always ask more specific questions there about the leaf pack.

I'm tempted to reach out to them again because there doesn't see to be a price difference between the two packs. If it really is just an additional leaf, I'll gladly take a leaf out myself and just save it for later if I need to lol

I believe it. I made my own leaf pack on my old 2001 Tundra out of Deaver offroad springs, and junkyard Chevy 1500 springs. They.....did not get along. It was definitely a little bit of a rough ride at times, but when weighted down they were fantastic.

Ok another option. I’m looking at a local spring shop that can add leaves to my current stock rear set to match my front lift plus a little rake. This would not only allow me a little more payload but also allow me to not sag when towing. My question is will this still articulate well off road for that weekend warrior once in a while? I think it would be fine overlanding since I’d be adding payload assistance.

Just get the kit you want and put some sand bags in the bed til you get your gear on the truck. #400 of sand is like $50 at home depot.

Nice, thank you. I inquired about the constant load rear springs and using them while unladen. They urged against it saying they would yield around 5.5" of lift and be very stiff. But I also have little faith that the performance load will actually yield 3.5" of lift as advertised.

I assume the front still gives you 3.5" of lift with the constant load spring? Probably just a slight stiffer ride since you don't seem to have a bumper or winch.

The Truck is still at the shop. My mechanic snap me a photo of right before taking it to get an alignment. He told me the front is about 3.5 in of lift. He didn't mention about the rear.
This what my mechanic said to me via texted "First impression is I am very impressed with ride quality. Its firm but not to ridged. Smooth driving and does not dive like stock. I know you will be very happy with it. "

Hopefully that answer some of your question.

The front is 3.5" of lift and the rears are 2" of lift or thats what they told me. I have the softer springs all around.
