I had to drop off the coils at their shop to get remounted and fixed. They ended up warranting the coils for a new set and mounted them for me. They should arrive in a couple of days.

They have been very helpful but have missed a few things that I would attribute to growing pains and new location they are getting set up. Nice place too.

I'll post up how they look when they arrive.

Thanks. Let me know when they are up. Would be good to know another shop this side of the river.

Got the shock back today, they look much better, a tiny bow in one but nothing I am going to worry about. I'll get them installed this weekend, see how they look.

They are having a sort of open house this Saturday if anyone is local.

Very cool, glad you got it worked out.

Can anyone tell me if the adjustment tool comes w the coilovers, or do I have to buy it separately?

You have to buy it separately. I paid like $70 or $80 for mine.

What height did you end up with in the front ?

Even with the issues you had, would you still recommend them ???

I had them set at 3inch, about 260mm seat height. My only gripe is they are a little bouncy on the small stuff. I don't have a bunch of weight on the truck yet, I will be getting a Smartcap canopy next spring and that (I hope) will help a lot. It's not bad, feels like my old 4runner with 5100's

So, for a daily that won't have some weight to it, I wouldn't recommend them.

Mine were like that when first installed. But after a few thousand miles they are definitely improving. I imagine at 10k miles and up they will feel pretty plush.

This is interesting because I also want a 2" lift (maybe a bit less). I'll eventually have a camper on and set up for fulltime living so the front will definitely be loaded!

Since it's fine on high speed bumps you are surely not bottoming out the shock or springs... that was my initial worry. Sounds like it's just reluctant to compress at all unless the force reaches a certain level. Seal stiction? Maybe high compression damping?

I was about to get the shock set and front springs, but the warped springs were giving me pause. Looks like the 25% off sale has ended... still 20% if you buy a full kit.

They got my springs all figured out, I really should of just had them do the mounting. As far as the jarring ride I would say its the spring weight rating and the preload that causes a lot of it. They are quiet robust as my alignment shop said. If you are going to be loaded up most the time they are great. I just need to get my canopy installed this spring and see how they feel. If they continue to be jarring I will reduce the preload and put a couple of coachbuilder shims (shouldn't have sold them) on top to gain the lift back.

25% is active along with free treads with the purchase of a suspension kit. Ordered mine a while back and they just got shipped. I asked Ironman if they can add on those free treads and they did! Let’s see how this suspension works out

Based on dpast88's experience with them set to 2" I doubt reducing preload will help much. Think it's probably seal friction or high compression damping that you are feeling.

Does anyone know how long the front strut is compared to stock? Most aftermarket lifting struts are a little longer, so you get part of your lift from that and part from the springs.

Super hard on these, with all the preload on the coil seat, it's near impossible. You have to pull the strut, take the coil off or compress it to take the pressure off the coil seat, change the height, then reassemble

I've heard you can. Just jack up the truck to take some pressure off the coil... and you'll need the special wrench to turn the lockrings.

I need to do my drivers side, it's got the "lean" but don't have the special wrench to do it. I am hoping it can be done on the truck with it unloaded.

This also might be applicable to Ironman coilovers, but instead of using a special tool to adjust preload on my Fox coilovers, I used a punch set that fit perfectly in the adjustment holes paired with a cheater bar after jacking up the front. Gives you a lot more leverage even though Ironman adjustment is on the bottom.

Doesn't Fox say that they must be removed? The Fox threaded bodies are aluminum... are the rings as well? Ironman's are steel.

Hell no. Need to be in a wall mounted spring compressor and my Coilovers damn near kicked the wall mounted spring compressors ass at the mechanic.

My coilovers set at 2” are starting to feel much better after 5000 miles or so. I think they just need to be broken in.

Yes I only get out on dirt roads when I go upstate for fishing a handful of times a year. I have the pros, don’t know much about the coilovers in your link

I ordered a set of the 3.5” 0-110lbs, pre-assembled FCP’s and their forged UCA’s. Can anyone comment on their personal experience with this setup? How were your alignment numbers? How’s the ride quality?

I have the coilovers set at 2”. They were rough and jarring after initial install but I am pretty happy with them after 5k miles and know they will keep getting better. No issues with alignment either.

Thank you. Do you also have their UCA’s?
