Interesting. Wonder what their reasoning for that is.

Starting to get the runaround from IM.
They still haven't even assembled the suspension for warranty. Can't get a straight answer on when it will be available. Truck has been inoperable for 4 days.... and now going into the weekend.

I've even offered to drive over to their facility to pick it up...

A warranty isn't any good if you have to wait week+ to get your truck working again.

Why not pull the coil overs off and try to figure out what is not assembled correctly and fix it? Seems like obviously the spring is not seated correctly.

They may not have any supply here in the states to warranty your stuff. May have to wait until it gets sent from Australia. Hopefully they are staying in contact with you and being honest. If not that is definitely something to be concerned with. I would put your old stuff back on if that is an option and use your truck until you can get it straightened out.

Looks like the top of the coil isn't centered on the rubber coil isolator up top

I'm just frustrated. Maybe their move to the new facility has screwed up their warehouse. I want IM to succeed.

Their communication needs to get straightened out.
IM confirmed they have inventory, but are behind on assembling the shocks.

If they told me it would be 3 weeks. That's fine. But for the last 4 days I keep hearing "ASAP" and "you're in the que but we can't tell you when".

But not frustrated enough to try and figure out the issue and uninstall/reinstall?

Its inoperable, might as well remove them and see what's wrong. I have some take off's from mine if you need something to get by, free if you want them?

One of my coilover sitting in the garage looks the same. Have you contacted IM about this?

I had IM send me the coilovers apart. I put them together myself at the 3.5 setting which per the instructions is a certain measurement from the bottom bolt hole to the bottom of the first locking collar. My springs had some bow in them as well but I haven't had the problem pictured above

Not liking this. I know manufacturers have problems but I am not liking the bowed coils. This definitely makes me wonder why the coil is bowing. It would seem once placed under more load the coil will bend outwards even more.

Welp, this is a bummer. Guys might want to hold off on ordering right now. Mine have a whole 20 miles on them and already lost the paint. Shop put them on at IM stock settings too. So not sure if lowering them will help, but they’re steel and they’ll rust. Unfortunately I won’t be able to do anything about it before the end of the month and I’m getting ready to head out camping next week.

How did the powder coating come off? Aren't they setting in a rubber/poly seat?

If it’s not clear in the picture, this is the coil and the top of the shock body. You can see they’re touching under load.

Yeah, that should not happen at all, looks like the body of the shock is too big for the ID of the coils that they're using, not leaving enough space

The Eibachs were broken in and felt great. So far they feel about the same surprisingly. Main difference is the FCPs have no gas charge and lower pressure so the rear is softer with the FCPs. The fronts feel the same. Obviously I have to hear from the guys at Ironman but once it get sorted, hopefully without drama, I will lower the FCPs and suspect the front will end up feeling softer as well. Eibachs remain the best value shock I’ve installed on any Toyota truck to date. They ride above their ticket price.

how does the suspension kit feel with the TRD sway bars? Thinking about running TRD sway bars front and back but heard it makes you feel the smaller bumps more.

I have a stage 2 pro foam cell and full build kit on the way.

Well this is not only unacceptable but a huge bummer. While I don't have any contact between the springs and shock body I did have some bow. All is good with the front but I have a ridiculous squeak from the leaf springs. At first I thought I didn't grease the bushings well enough. 3 times I pulled the leafs and re greased everything. No fix. Finally contacted IM sent them video and pictures. They sent me brand new leafs no charge. Good customer service right......can't argue that. Installed new leafs. Same squeak after 2 weeks. Regreased bushings again. No avail. Replaced IM bushings with coach builder. Same squeak. Started hosing down leafs with silicon wd40. Finally stops squeak for about 2 weeks. Clearly the leafs a rubbing. As much as I want to promote this lift kit.....I can't. It seams like they have some manufacturer issues to solve. Too many issues. Damn this sucks

the rear sway bar will provide a drastic change in handling characteristics and reduction in body roll.

the front sway bar provides improvement as well, but not as drastic as the rear sway bar did.

I can’t say I “feel” the bumps more. It definitely is more of a planted feel, in a good way.

after seeing these issues, I went out to look at my springs. I have no rubbing issues or bowing issues at all with my springs. My leaf springs are also issue free . I hope that remains the case for myself and for others who have installed this kit. I will be following closely to see the resolutions that IM provides to those running into problems.

Well if it makes you feel any better, my Coachbuilder bushing squeak, have swapped them out 2x now. WD-40 works for a bit, the only thing so far. Ill be picking up some lithium spray here soon.

Can someone with out the rubbing please take a picture of the spring seat on both sides. On mine, the driver side has the "pig tail", end of the coil facing the front of the truck and the passenger side facing the front. I remember in the past the orientation of some of the OME coils could affect rubbing.

Curious if anyone elses are different.

Will be watching this thread for sure as I planned on getting the stage 2 3.5” kit. Curious if it’s a design flaw, or of they got a bad batch of springs. With the huge steel shortage, I’ve seen mills combine more and more metallurgical grades together; if this happened, IM could’ve received/manufactured springs with a lower yield/tensile. Hopefully they are investigating that possibility…

Do you feel that the Eibachs were a better quality? Were you running the Eibach 2.0 coilovers?
