@Juanjoolio007 Yo man, considering this for my wife's Sequoia. Thought it might be a close comparison to your wife's 4R? I could be way off, I'm not too schooled on Ironman. $1,236

I like Ironman myself. Wife keeps telling me to just buy them and be done with it.

Does she have the Limited? If I’m not mistaken the limited or one of the trims has the rear air suspension height control or something. If she doesn’t have that then she should be fine.

The wife’s 4Runner is at 2.5”(I think) with the UCA, rear coils, and adjustable pan hard bar.

But yes both hers and yours have foam cell pros. One of these weekends we will get it out to the dunes/beach. But she likes how it drives/handles.

It's the limited, no rear air suspension though. I'll be getting UCAs too, what did you go with?

It says approximately 2" lift stock load suited, I'm guessing that's referring to the spring rate and I wouldn't want a ton of extra payload on the rig?

It'll be mostly a kid hauler and see the mountains occasionally, not too stiff on road?

Good to hear she likes it, I think I'll pull the trigger on them.

Thanks for letting me bug you with all the questions! :D

    No worries.

I went into the shop to look at all their stuff. I can’t for the life of me right now remember which height she has. So I went and looked at it again(website) and I can only recall she has performance spring with the lowest weight rating. I’ll have to check paperwork when I get home.

That’s what she uses hers for primarily also. I’m sure your correct on the load/spring rate.

The UCA isn’t that bad. We did passenger first on hers. It was more of a pita. If you have someone to help guide that long bolt back in you will be much happier. The ball joint that goes into the spindle was the hardest part. The passenger side took maybe 30 minutes total being extremely careful as it was the first one I ever did. The drivers side was maybe 10 minutes tops.

I've changed out her coilovers once already with some cheap quickstruts but haven't done UCAs before.
    Looking forward to this!

No worries. I was worried about the cv slipping out so bungeed up the spindle. Turns out I never got it stretched far enough to cause a problem. May have been over thinking it. Just leave that UCA bolt loose until you get everything back in. Then tighten it all back down.

Anyone running a front bumper with the performance load?

Just read through the specs on their site and they have the performance spring rate at 580lb/in, which is roughly what stock is. Not really ideal for a bumper up front.

What are peoples thoughts of using coachbuilder shackles in place of the shackles that come with the foam cell pro kit?

I’m just asking as I own a new set of CB +3 shackles and shims that i had intended on using with a 6112/5160.

I'm using Coachbuilder +2s on mine but didn't get the leaf pack/kit. I'm just running Foam Cell Pro Coilovers in front and Foam Cell Pro shocks in the rear. Works great for me but if I had wanted the leaf pack I probably would have run Ironman shackles.

True. But given the fact that the cell pros reportedly provided 3.5 inches in the rear and CB +3 shackles give 1.75 inches, doesn't that mean that the CB +3 shakles won't provide any additional lift provided by the rear shocks?
Again, I'm just wondering as these CB +3 shackles are very overbuilt and I would like to utilize them (since I already have them) so long as there aren't any unwanted results. Simply put, if the CB +3 shackles will serve the same purpose as the kit I'd prefer to use them. But there's also the idea to recoup some of the funds from the kit by selling the CB shackles too :monocle:

I think I am leaning towards just using the kits as a whole.

The shackles would add an additional 1.75" over the IM leafs. The IM shackles appear to be stock length, they just have zerk fittings as an added feature.

The rear shocks provide no lift. The lift comes from the leaf pack if you buy the full kit. Their greasable shackle also provides no lift. I believe people are seeing closer to 2-2.5" of lift from the leaf pack. You could easily forgo the leaf pack and use your CB bushings to obtain 1.75" from them using your stock leaf pack and their shocks.

Ahhhh ok my mistake. So the shackles would provide additional lift over the leafs. I see. In that case I’ll just install the kit as is and sell my cb shackles and shims.

    thanks for the help!

Or, you could keep your CB shackle for 1.75" of lift if feel like you don't need new heavier duty leaf springs. You can just buy the front struts, and the rear shocks all separately. No leaf springs, no shackle, and save some money if that works better for you.

I got the performance spring and leafs. The lift is about a 3.5” all around.

Great! I would say it's better than stock. Firm and controlled. Any bumps in the road is absorbed and rebounds fast. It's definitely more firm but not harsh. Also I feel there is less body roll. Going into turns hard just to test out, it feels controlled and intentional. I had the Off Road package and doing the same procedure would feel mushy. There isn't any squeaks or rattles or bodymount chop I had to do. I've got a slight rub but just haven't had a chance to push in the front plastic yet. All in all, for the price (I paid $2K for the stage 2) I do not feel that there is a more complete package. What I might have done differently would have opted for the SPC UCA but that would have been an additional $500. One can piece together other components from different companies, but as a package, this works very well together.

Any reason you think the Ironman UCAs aren’t up to par? Any issues? I ask only because I’m installing the kit this weekend.

No issues and I've got no comparison other than from what I've read. The only difference I see is the +/- 2 degrees camber. More adjustment capability... Ironman's UCA is pretty beefy and I've got no complaints.

Yes 295/70/18 and wheels are +25offset. Slight rub at full turn when reversing but I haven't messed with pushing the inner plastic out yet. Tires are Falken Wildpeaks AT3 and i got them on Amazon $249ea delivered. It was the cheapest I could find and had very good reviews.

FYI, Ironman is having another sale, 25% off. Code is GREEN25

Fronts are currently $854.25, for anyone cross shopping the 6112s that probably wont be in stock till the 2nd half of this year.
