So I recently updated my iPhone XR to iOS 14. Ever since then now my truck 2019 tundra keeps dropping calls and losing connection with the Bluetooth. Can’t find anything in the forms about this yet seen if anybody else is having these problems also

Curious, do you have contact syncing enabled? I found huge reliability issues with the bluetooth on my truck when I had contact syncing enabled.

I haven’t had an issue with 14, I’ve had it a couple weeks now.
FWIW my phone updated to 14.01 last night, and I’ve been in the truck all day on the phone.

So I have a 2020, with the new head unit (so different than yours), and an iphone 11 on 14.0.1. I haven't had the issue thus far. However, if you haven't tried yet, delete your truck from blu tooth (disconnect) and disconnect phone from truck, reboot the phone, and try re-pairing to the truck and see. You may have done that already. If so, try also resetting network settings. Otherwise, you could try resetting the head unit in truck as well.

All of this. I've had iOS14 literally since the public beta came out; and if anything it's been more stable than usual. The only time I've had disconnects is due to zero signal strength in the middle of nowhere in the Ozarks. LOL

I got the old 6s creeping along on iOS 14 and haven’t had any issues since the update

As one poster mentioned maybe try forgetting the device on both your phone and truck

Tired all these and still drops and hangs up on my caller. Called my dealer and the service depot was No help at all. Guess I’m rolling back my phone.

Another thing id suggest, if you use iCloud backup, is to back your phone up(make sure you've selected all your apps) then delete the phone and restore from backup. Apart from what's already been suggested, anytime I have an obvious issue, I will backup, delete, then restore from backup, and rarely do I find that doesn't fix my issue. I can't necessarily explain why its worked, but it has for me at least. I also have an iPhone 11 with the most recent software and have not had an issue. Good luck...

Ive heard of tacomas radios locking up because of contact syncing. Turn it off. My 20Raptor did weird shit like turn the volume all the way up if I used it. My Tundra has the lowest version SR5 radio it works normally even with sync on with the newest iphone pro with newest ios update.

I think I am having a similar issue. All calls connected to truck Bluetooth seem to cut off after 2 min or so.

Got new iPhone XS about two months ago. I didn’t notice an issue at first. I’ve since updated to iOS 13.7 and have not done the 14 update.

anyone else having calls work fine initially and then drop after a little while?

Slightly off topic, but I have a 2020 CM...have XR IOS 14. No issues at all, but I use carplay. In fact my bluetooth is not even synced.

I had the same issues. I’ve actually found a fix for it. I deleted all Bluetooth profiles from my phone except the tundra and it hasn’t done it since.

It has nothing to do with the truck. iOS 14 is having issues with bluetooth and wifi connectivity. I think you are just going to have to wait till 14.1 comes out in the coming weeks.

I was having connectivity issues between my Kenwood HU and my iPhone 11 after updating to 14. I removed the iPhone and HU from each others’ respective bluetooth profiles, re-paired them, made sure to not allow contacts to sync, and I’ve had no problems since. YMMV.

I’m having the exact same problem with same iPhone and dealer says it’s a compatibility issue with my phone. I’ve tried everything that i can think of other than back up phone and try erasing phone.

I had an iPhone prior to the purchasing my 2019 limited. I always up date as soon as they are available. All the sudden for the last month (there have been two updates during that time) the Bluetooth disconnects call continues to show on display and it will stay like that for a while, then drop off the display. Mean time I’m fiddling with the phone trying to get speaker phone, feels dangerous .

The last update did mention drop calls with CarPlay. And I swear it’s worse…

anyways I just found your post so I’m going to start reading.

PS I never had this problem prior, just started last month.
