I've been getting an intermittent chirp from my serpentine belt area. I found a TSB that says replacing the belt AND the tensioner fixes the problem. Anyone replace these and have the problem come back? I know its an easy job I just want to make sure I fix it right the first time.

You just got it right? It's been what, a few days? Can the dealer fix it before you have to? It's documented this way in case it comes right back.

    That's my luck right there!

I haven't done that job but like others said, I hope the dealer will do the right thing.

My service records show that my serp belt and tensioner was replaced/upgraded in 08. Mine is still not noisy at all.

Yes, I've owned it a few days. But it was squeaking when I test drove it and the deal worked out included them not having to fix it. The noise has actually lessened in frequency and it actually hardly did it all today.

My thoughts are now that it's squeaking from some contaminate from when they were shining up the engine compartment.

Belated update: The temperature dropped and the squealing became permanent. So last weekend I replaced the belt.

Funny thing is, I bought a Dayco belt (~$53) and the one I took off was also a Dayco! Hard to believe the dealership charges $200 to do this. Well not really that hard to believe.
