Would like to upgrade my ClimateControl backlightjng...
I see @Pinay posted a 2000 Tundra Lighting spec sheet [way back in 2019- thx!]; well done.

That table shows the 3 CLIMATE CONTROL specs of "T-10"...

    then @ superbrightleds.com they have 5 different form T-10s...
one even looks like the original 194/168 incandesent bulb w/a LED inside..?
Yet another couple look like modernized versions of the 194/168 'mini-wedge'.

So Im asking which one has anyone here used of these w/out blinding or short life results?

    Thx.

    thx @The Black Mamba.
...im being a bit anal on this since I trying to be one & done orderwise [avoid return ship].
Hard to tell which of the 5 different 194/168/T10's that 'Superbrightleds' lists is correct for ClimateControls. Trying to not get something too bright compared to rest of lighting.
    From their list:
I would think the cheapest 5SEM: 194-x5-CBT-CAR may be correct, altho Lumens unspecified, so dont really know if it will be too bright or to dim in White?
Of other 3 listed, seems 194-xCOB1W would be the one [it looks like the OEM Incandcnt] but again no Lumen value given; also need to pull bulbs to measure if 1"x1/2x1/2" is correct size.
The next choice might also be the 10SEM mini wedge [194-10SMD-x] but again, no Lumen value given, so too bright? And only in 6500k may be more blue than white. [would like some uniformity w/other whites on climate cluster.].

From their webpage "Map Light Bulb" [same 5 as their "Interior Door Light Bulb" page]

    thx @w666 & @PNW15.

So using this specific bulb seems to mimic or blend w/remaining backlight levels?
IE: Not over-illuminating such that if you adjust Dim/Brightness, the dash cluster is in relative sync with controls cluster?
Im probly going 'Nat. White' color [4000k].

    194 / 168 / T10 LED Bulb - COB LED - T3.25 Miniature Wedge Base
    [IMG]
    Part Number: 194-xCOB1W

Of the 5 types, this seems to mimic the OEM design standard [194/168], so apparently no retrofit issues with a tight mount into the plastic sockets.

    Observation Minutia:
A bit in the weeds about these LEDs, [Or how the 'apples compare to the oranges' if you will], meaning their stated specs express the equivalence of 10 watt incand. to 1 watt LED. [their rating for this particular LED]
So, a 10 watt incand. is equivalent to a 1 watt LED ? [Light output?]
    According to Sylvania, etc, a std incand. 168 = 5 watt; 194 = 3.8 watt- 25% difference.
Would think thats a noticeable difference, so what did Toyota use in the ClimateControl sockets, 168 or 194?

Like I said, im getting anal and should just be happy I can bring 19yr old lighting back to life...

    Their published spec:

    "Enclosed Fixture Rated Yes
    Equivalency 10 Watt Incandescent
    LED Lifetime 50000 Hours
    Operating Voltage 12-14 VDC
    Oversize No
    Polarity Sensitive Yes
    Reference Number 194/168/T10
    Warranty 3 Year
    Wattage 1 Watt"

I used ultra warm with green covers. This is close to the OEM dash LEDs in my 2006.

If you go for 4000k they will be too cold imo.

Lastly. They dim similarly to the factory dash, but not perfect. if you pick too intense of a color or temperature this will exacerbate the inconsistency.

Ok, thanks @PNW15...good info. I might go w/3 - 4000k and 3 - 2500k. Could likely use either in another location if not quite right. I prefer keeping truck near stock, but since my Climates are dead except one, its hard to tell whats green or white.

I did put bright whites of whatever I had lying around in my doors. But that's 4, not three!

being an AC truck, only 2 door lights, so these seem brightest for that purpose, or overheads:
    194 / 168 / T10 CANbus LED Bulb - 18 SMD LEDs - Mini Wedge - 210 Lumens - Cool White / Amber / Red
    brand logo Part Number: 194-18SMD-x

Would help if 'superbrightleds' organized these specific groups in an Excel spread sheet; distilling the specs, I think main differences [beside price and color] in the 5 types listed for what they designate as 'Interior/Map lighting', is current consumption and that some are NOT Dimmable, such as 194-18SMD-x [above] better suited for license plate or door courtesy?...

Looks like most correct for dash backlighting [depending on color prefernce] is the 194-xCOB1W.
    The COB
[CHIP ON BOARD type LED] are supposedly more reliable and better output for lower current demand [At least thats what i learned fr/a quik read of an 'industry' website.] AND are the least expensive of their Interior Dimmables for our trucks.

Heres a long version explanation of COB LEDs:

After you settled on your choices, post some pictures--curious to see how they turn out for you and might follow suit. Although my original lights seem to all be working except for the "D" which seems to be common since it probably stays lit up more than others. I'm leaning toward sticking closer to the stock look as well.

    @Dblock500...will do.
Im only replacing HVAC backlights for now, but if my instrument cluster BRIGHT/DIM doesnt sync well w/HVAC backlights, via the dimmer control, I may have to make changes to the instrument backlights...btw, I think '05-06 went to LEDs for 'PRNDL'. You might have already seen threads doing so, but the '00-04' instrument panel LED conversion has been done w/ good success.
