SET and GST are run by a family, and those regions financial arm (SET finance and GST finance) are run by the same family. they do not offer toyota usa finance rates.

i meant to say, SET region is run by one family and GST region is run by a different family.

SET = jim moran family since 1968
GST = dan friedkin family since 1969

every state outside of those regions have to follow toyota usa rules. GST/SET does not have to follow toyota usa rules or offer toyota usa finance

2.9% through Toyota in the beginning of August. Although the finance dude said they could only offer that if I purchased one of their maintenance or warranties, which I believe was most definitely bullshit.
I bought a maintenance plan anyway...

I considered doing that, but went through the maintenance manual and compared what it cost ($1,800 for 95K miles, covering ALL recommended maintenance items) to what I paid for similar items through that period on my Tacoma and decided I'll be coming out on top. I don't enjoy working on cars, so I had no plans of doing it myself anyway.
