Since I still dont have my Tundra yet has this feature become standard. If not what package does it come in. I couldnt find anything on the toyota site. I purchased the SR5 and still have a brake control I never installed from my old truck that I will sell if I dont need it.

I've had three other controllers. The Toyota controller works well for my lighter trailer but doesn't do much for my other two heavier trailers. Any ideas?

I've ordered the parts (they are on back order already) for my '15. The plug in my '15 is on the right side of the steering column, but I'm not 100% sure the plug is right for the factory controller. I'll report back, but I'd feel a lot better about the whole thing if someone with firsthand experience could weigh in on this.

I just received an email this afternoon from my local dealer that the parts I ordered were in, which were ordered last week. Took the parts home and installed them in bout 5 minutes. Works like a charm! I'll be towing my travel trailer tomorrow, so it was perfect timing.

    Installation photos below.

Is yours a 2015? If so, does anything show up in the drivers information screen next to the speedometer? Can you take a pic? I think the gain setting is supposed to show up on that screen. One more thing, cost from the dealer?

Yes, I have a 2015 SR5. The gain setting shows up on the dash and it illuminates when the headlights are turned on like the rest of the dash. $320 out the door. Part numbers are listed above in one of my other posts. As stated above, I'll be pulling my travel trailer this weekend. I'll report back. Super stoked.

Dude thanks for the details. I asked the dealer about having them install and they replied "sorry there is no way the break control works in a 2015" I know that is BS and your pics are the proof. I'll be installing myself. Thanks a ton for throwing the part numbers in there! It may be pricey but looks WAY better than hanging a P3 off the panel.

One quick question. To I need anything else? Like harness or is the wire already on the tundra to hook up on to the brake controller.

From what I understand, the 2015's have the harness and software already there. Simply buy the controller and plug it in. I'll report back when I receive mine. It shipped yesterday.

Did it come with bolts to mount it or does it just float against the panel?
