Yesterday I installed Kicker Key amp and front alpine components. Drilling the holes in the sail panels is the way to go for the tweets, very easy and everything matched up.

Went to install the rears and low and behold the 6.5 rear brackets will not work with the Alpines 6.5. Darn! The lip on the speakers is a little wider on the lip of the bracket and there is nowhere to screw speaker to bracket. I either need to find a suitable bracket or change speakers.

So far the fronts sound great.

I'm guessing you have Scosche SAT6 brackets. I ran into the same problem with my RF 1650 so I made my own brackets out of .75 MDF. Trace the outer dimensions of the SAT6 on the MDF then cut the inner circle for the Alpines. All I used was a jigsaw took about an hour to knock out. You will need to get 1.5" screws too...

head over to ********* and buy your brackets. They fit very nicely.

Annoying that Toyota didn't make the speaker mounting holes symmetrical.
