Could you tell a difference in performance afterwards?

Not particularly but the truck was running very well already. I was having no issues just did not like that 45% and figure $75 was worth it to reset it and see how long it takes to creep back up.
Idle exhaust note seemed a little deeper and smoother however.

Good deal. Thanks for the extra info. Good luck with it and hope it helps your mileage too. Sure shouldn’t hurt it

I think mine is developing the same issue. It still starts but acts like its rich and inconsistent mileage. When the mixture is correct it starts with gusto. It almost seems like its loading up and if I step on it hard it will smooth out for a time

I am a little over a week since having mine reset.
No notice in drivability however I am getting noticeably better gas mileage.

I never calculate mileage as it’s a waste of time because I am going to fill up regardless.

But I make the same trip frequently that takes my right to a 1/4 of a tank.
I made this same trip yesterday and I was only about halfway between 1/2 and 1/4 of a tank.

The reason I think my pump is going is because it surges under load. This is the most inconsistent vehicle I have ever had milage wise and running. One time you step down it screams to life the next time it just acts half asleep. I think this is due to the way they are programmed from the start

Where in techstream can you check the alcohol density? I need to check mine. Didn't know about this issue before I bought my FFV truck last year

So I’ve basically the same thing. 17 TRD Pro. 65k miles. Stationed in Alaska. Last year December was the first instance. It’s not uncommon to hit -40/-50 where I’m at. I’ve a block heater, oil pan heater and batt blanket when parked outside at work to offset. I’ll park in my heated garage at night when home. After the first cold snap I started having the extended crank issue. Usually 2 revolutions and it fires over now 6-7-8 turns and it fires over. If I were anywhere outside of town it gets pretty remote and cell service drops. Less than ideal for your vehicle to not start as you’re basically dead. Took it to Toyota. I found the TSB thankfully and they replaced the Fuel pump and Reprogrammed the ECM. Worked great for a year. Winter of 23 into 24 she reared her ugly head again. Hard cold crank. Take it back to Toyota. They “identified” a substance in the fuel tank after it was mostly drained and pointed the blame on it after waiting 2 months on an alcohol density tester and purging the fuel system, cleaning the tank and all lines. They think I had contaminated fuel an oily substance that would not evaporate and was sure it was the culprit. Go to pick it up and came out of pocket $1.4k. Seems all is well. For 24hrs. Extended crank and now the check engine light is on which is new. Haven’t had that with all cold/extended crank issues. Has anyone identified a solid fix? I only used premium. Just bought a new battery. Never used E85 or any other trash. I know there’s a few threads in which some are just resetting the ECM. Has anyone moved away from the OEM Denso crap and found reprieve? Looking for a solid fix. Thanks.
