    Good approach :fingerscrossed:
I’d imagine the headliner would get wet. Been feeling the snugtop one for leaks also since I had to undo a bolt on each track to drop in the nuts when installing the toprac. So far so good there but a little leaking sometimes at the front window of the shell. Doesn’t seem to make a great seal.

    Update March 02, 2019

All the electrical finally got done. First did the Switchpros 9100 installed. Made a custom housing out of stainless steel to mount the module on the fuse box. With a termination bar and bus bar the install came out pretty clean. Next came the Baja 40" OnX6+ and the S2's for the rear and sides.

    Update April 13, 2019

After a month of gathering all the gear and planning out the install I finally started outfitting the rack. Used an ARB awning bracket and some tool clamps to mount the Hi-lift, shovel, and axe. Took an L bracket to get the Rotopax mounts set on the sides of the rack cross bars. Some simple carriage bolts tied down the Tredpros. Lastly, got a Plano rifle case for cheap and mounted it to the rack for all my recovery gear. I am pretty happy how it came out. I am sure it will change down the road, but it will work to get me through Tundras to Sedona!

Thanks, I am really liking the rack. Having one on the shell is very convenient. I even use it as a lumber rack occasional C2B14CD4-AF09-440E-93FD-A925DAF3C206.jpg

@dcsleeper408 gave me a good deal on his used set. I didn’t even know the color until I picked them up.

    Tundras 2 Sedona Update April 24-28, 2019

After a long winter it was finally time to get back out on the trail with the BASTRDS. What a great trip to start off the spring.

    Wednesday April 24th

After spending a few months getting the gear figured out and mounted it was great to finally get a chance to see how it would stay attached throughout the trip. The wife and I left mid morning and the plan was to meet up with the rest of the group down I5 and drive as far as we could manage. We made good time and had dinner in Needles before finding a spot to camp a few hours into Arizona.

    Thursday April 25th
Everyone woke up early, had a quick breakfast, and got back on the road. After picking up a trailer, we made it to camp around 1. We setup camp and took off for the trails.

    Schnebly Hill Road
This was just the most direct route from the T2S camp into Sedona. Basically a long rough fire road with a few big rocks. Just constantly shaking the truck, nothing fun about it, but then you see the views as you drop down into Sedona...

    Greasy Spoon
Our main goal was to get to this trail that afternoon. The trail overall was a little more difficult than Schnebly Road, but not hard overall. It was a slow trail with lots of rocks just big enough to slow you down. A few locations where I tapped the sliders. The scenery was still around you and made it a nice drive, but I would skip this one next year.

    Friday April 26th
This day just so happen to be Fast Friday at the Cinders and my wife's birthday. I knew I had to give her one day for tagging along on this trip, so we went into town to explorer while the rest of the Bastrds were off winning races.

    Broken Arrow
We met up with the group in the afternoon to run the trail we all were excited for. This is really the iconic trail of Sedona. It is not really a challenging trail, but a few technical spots and amazing views made it a must. The wife described this trail as the Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland. The Steps was the main obstacle, but with all the Pink Jeeps in the area we didn't have time to really get out and film each other. It is much steeper than it looks in the pics, but just foot on the brakes and sliiiide down. I did have one mishap where I sliced the sidewall on my tire (I think it was from going off trail to avoid a Pink Jeep). Swapped out to the spare just to be safe.

    Saturday April 27th
The morning started with a big group picture at camp and the raffle. I think someone counted around 210 Tundras there. Huge turn out. I didn't win any prizes, so I will have to try again next year.
    IMG_5523.jpg

    Power Line
@sr5shark and I decided to go off from the group, and run this "moderate trail" with random trucks. I have never missed the Bastrds more... Some 2wd trucks, a Chevy and a Dodge got in on this run and sure made this frustrating. This should have been and easy run with no spotting needed with any capable driver in a 4wd truck. Luckily the views were again amazing and gave us something to look at. The trail was slow going and it started getting late. I was on dinner duty so the two of us turned around when the Chevy got stuck. Found out latter that the Chevy and Dodge both broke some suspension parts, and the Tundra pulling the Chevy broke a steering strut. :facepalm:Oh well. I would like to do this one again when we can move quickly.
    IMG_6598.jpg IMG_6609.jpg IMG_6613.jpg IMG_6617.jpg IMG_6616.jpg P1010033-1.jpg IMG_5573b.jpg

    Sunday April 28th
SUCH A LONG DAY. Got up early as the plan was to do the drive in one day. And drive we did. Only stopped for gas and bathrooms. Everyone was getting tired so we took a dirt road detour near Kramer Junction at 395 & 58. 14 hours + later we pulled into Sacramento and crashed.

Fun trip overall. So glad I went. It was nice to meet a bunch of people from the forum and put real names to trucks. Sedona is a must visit if you like the Southwest!

Be careful with the AXE. I had a Pulaski attached using a quickfist and within 20 min of moderate offroading, the head-end broke free and was swinging back and forth against the side of my truck bed.

I’ve enjoyed seeing the progress on your truck too! I’ve been thinking of getting some 17” Methods with 0 offset as well. Still trying to decide on which tires to go with.

I was worried about that too. On this trip I head an extra tether attaching the axe, shovel, & hi lift together. It seemed to hold well over the 5 days. Going to try no tether next trip. :fingerscrossed:

Hmmmm.... I did recently buy some velcro straps for my wife's SUV, and it was a 12 pack (I used 2). I should see if I can reinforce my mount setup.
    Good thinking.
