So at the time my parents only had two full size Dodge vans, one my dad used for his flooring business and the other was a conversion van for family trips. The conversion van is what I learned to drive in with my permit, but I was nervous about taking the license test in it.
About an hour before my exam, my dad takes me to the local import dealership and asks to test drive a Suzuki SX4. So we test drove it down to the license office and I aced my test with that little clown car. :D

Here ya go! Oldsmobile station wagon with fake wood side and wire wheels!

Family car that I had to take the driving test in Lawrenceville, Georgia. I remember trying to parallel park this beast!

That was back in the day when car stereo systems were the thing! I got to jam with the AC Delco cassette player that got so hot that when I went to eject the cassette tape it actually shot it out of the player!

    Thanks for letting me share!

1966 Ford Country Squire. 352 4 barell. Limited production engine and one of Ford's best efforts. Started that thing up one day and it spit an oil slick on the wall of the garage.

1992 Ford Ranger Long bed. V6/auto. It was honestly a great truck. Bought it with with 78k on the odometer for $5000 and drove for another 100k. Eventually sold it to the state for $1500 under some program they had to get older (emissions offending) cars off the road.

Yep, 1974 Grand Prix SJ that was my father's. I normally drove his Datsun truck. But it was a special occasion on my 15th birthday. Trooper got in the car we drove maybe 2 miles up the highway, and he said turn around and go back. That was it. No parking or anything else. My father had been teaching me for over a year. We could get a learner's permit at 14 1/2 if we took the driver's ed program sponsored by the HP. I didn't get on a bicycle again for 40 years.

Very gutless, but I ran some spoke wheels, white walls, and in our area back then we were lifting the Olds, Buicks, and Monte Carlos about 1.5 to 2 inches with rake in the front. Early 80s stuff right there bro! Lol

Couldn't afford a car but I needed transportation to my job at the hamburger joint.
Early 1960s Suzuki motorcycle ~ the ride I took my drivers license test on.
Back then it was lots easier to survive on the roads as a new motorcyclist/driver/rider. These days I would highly recommend taking a motorcycle safety class if you're new to road bikes.
