Ok need some input but I think I know the answer but I trust the groups judgment.
I have a 2017 Cement Pro Double cab being built delivery date is 4/28-5/3
Today I received a call from another dealer that I had inquired about a Pro before I had this one built.
He gave me a quote on a Cement Pro Crewmax for roughly the same price as the DC Pro
the only drawbacks it has a factory drop in liner which I have no use for and I would have to have it line-x'd ad it wouldn't be in till end of May.
I do like the extra room in the interior as I am coming from a crew cab GMC
Am I crazy for even thinking about this because the 3-4K off the crewmax is too good to pass up

I'm more partial to the DC. I like the looks better and the longer box. I've never been a fan of 4 full door trucks. Looks to me like it's an suv with a truck bed attched. That's just my $.02 though

I'm partial to the CrewMax as I love the huge interior and have a trailer to haul big stuff.

Can you back out of the DC though?

If you need more interior space vs cargo, then CM. Lower price of $3-$4K is a lot less than you'll spend removing drop in liner and have it sprayed. I like my SUV :D

I had a D.C. And traded it for a CM. You can almost live in the back seats. I never use my bed, so I wasn't worried about it.

Have the second dealer include a spray in liner and call it good.

Dealing with a few in Mass. At first figured it would be hard to find one now Im sitting on my pick of 2 I honestly think the 3-4 thousand off msrp is too much to pass up. I bought a tonneau cover and nerf bars but those should be a easy exchange as they are well below the 30 day return period.

Go with the Crewmax, but before making the switch, make sure you have the "get the deposit back" in writing, or you might be kissing that deposit good bye. Even then, they might take their sweet time to refund you. Good luck!

I'm pretty sure you're going to love this new truck more than anything else you ever drove. The choice has to be yours and just based on how you will use the truck and what you want.
For me, the DC was the only thing I was interested in. Back seat is still big and comfortable and I really need the bed space.
Maybe you should get 'em both!

By the way you are asking the question, you don't really need the DC bed space. Go with CM. Interior space is truly amazing. CM also has the whole rear window that goes down, which is an awesome feature. You should see other brand truck owners' jaws drop when they see it go down. I think Toyota CM is the only truck that has this feature.

Holy cow. I'm a DC fan but if given the same offer, I'd be really tempted to get the CM just from the financial perspective. Dealers usually don't budge on the TRD Pros sticker prices. I'm wondering if it's not too good to be true. I recommend heading down and driving it IMMEDIATELY before it's gone. Cement CMs are high demand.

    Easy....

What will be of most the overall benefit, more interior space or more exterior space?

Your answer to the above should drive the solution...

dc has lots off room in the back compare to Tacoma. I rather have the long bed since I don't use the back that much.

I have owned both, I use the cavernous interior of my crewmax waaaay more than the bed space on the DC. It's your $$$$.

I came from a "crewmax" GMC Sierra and now have a double cab tundra. I've found I use the bed space more than the cab space. I've got a tonneau cover too to keep things out of sight and out of the weather.

Recently I was always having to drop the gate of the crew cab gmc to haul what I needed. Or stuff just wouldn't fit cleanly in there and it bothered me. So I'm happy with the D.C. Tundra as the back seat is the largest in the full size trucks. I've got 2 buddies who are 6'-2" or so and they've both been back there no issues. They have a ram double cab and a Silverado double cab and said the tundra D.C. is bigger and more comfortable. Didn't feel like they were forced to lean forward.

I will say this - if you have kids with car seats or plan on having kids that will require car seats definitely get the crew max. Car seats are the worst. More space you have to battle the car seat, the better. My kids are past that age so the double cab is plenty big for them. Plus the wife's 4Runner has a huge back seat (depth wise).

If you're spending 5 minutes thinking about it.... the you'll always wonder if you made the right decision. Tells me that you should go with the CM.

If you can back out of the DC I'd say go for the CM. The back seat is awesome.
