I'm tired of hunting around for a Platinum, what's the wait time if ordered?

I am in Atlanta GA and put deposits on two different Platinums with different dealers. Black on black and gray with black interior. The Gray came early so I bought it. The black is still about 28 days away as of today but you could commit to it and I can get my deposit refunded. Dealer said it will be $70k out the door based on (taxes in my area). Only issue would be that the black on black is 4x2.

i wouldnt canx (most likely you will be put at the bottom of the list), since they stopped producing 2022 back in june-2022. all production now should be 2023 model year tundra's. all allocation reserves should be fulfilled with 2023 model years if you are still waiting.

But if mine was built in May guess its still a 2022. I wonder what changes will be made to the 1794 2023.

I put down my $1K deposit for a Red, 4x4, Platinum, iMax on 7/7/22 at Cedar Park Toyota. I guess it's time to see where I am on the list and if I can get a copy of the "Allocation Reserve Request". They verbally indicated that Jan 2023 is what I should expect, stating the "iMax" is what is the reason for why it will take so long.

And............wow, seems like a lot of folks on the forum around Austin, hope to run into you someday!

In the meantime, I'll focus on my upcoming BaT listing and get that completed.

I was able to reserve an allocation that has a build date of 8/10 with a plan to deliver late September. If that ends up being a 23 that would be great but it looks like it's a 22 still = /

I got an update from Cedar Park, TX yesterday that blew me away. Put $1,000 down for a Platinum Hybrid 4x2 on July 3, was told approx. 4-6 months wait, and apparently, it will hit the dealer in about 3 weeks! Coming with some extra packages and accessories (wish I could reject some) which doesn't surprise me coming from Gulf States Toyota distributor - Advanced Package, Power Running Boards and Step, Tailgate Insert, Carpet Mats, and Vehicle Protection Package.

I put $1,000 down on a Platinum at Gateway Toyota in Toms River, NJ on March 10. I received my truck 12 weeks later on June 1. This particular dealership is owned by Penske Automotive. Corporate dealerships recieve larger vehicle allotments based on their larger size. I think your chances of getting one in a relatively reasonable amount of time improve if you go to a large volume or corporate dealer. That's just speculation on my part, but it makes sense to me.

Agreed, Toyota of Cedar Park is the #1 or 2 volume dealer comprising of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Texas (Gulf States Toyota) so that has to help.

Do the Platty-numbs with the self removing trim get delivered sooner than the ones with permanent adhesive?
