    Looks like you have the tow/haul package which includes the 4.3 rear end gears. (I'm hungry for some gumbo now)

    Believe so. Just installed Reese brake controller the other night. Super simple plug and play because of factory plug just waiting in kick panel.

    I studied the cubby in front of gear shift but decided to put it where I did based on feel and led is not noticeable when not towing anything.

    You have one mod out of the way already. Check out this sight. Lots of easy low cost mods here (and expensive ones too)

    Yeah, a lot of guys hear use the cubby hole for their controller. As long as it is not in the way of anything, plus it's not very big and easy to reach.

    You've probably already checked out my modest build thread. I try to get the best bang for the buck. @csuviper has a very good mod list here with pics. Check it out.

    BTW, i do not recommend that location for your brake controller. The lower air bag could throw that in a bad spot.
