We call em gold diggers, but the only thing they are really digging is a pit of loneliness and despair.

Just leased a 24 equinox ev, 35k vehicle

Fit and finish is 1000x better then my gen3 tundra.

Hilarious, 56k vehicle vs 35k and fit finish is like night and day.

Owned yotas since 80s, gen3 tundra should be called a scion, it's not up to yota standards imo

Late 22, I wanted a 23 but this was made in 10/22 and purchased black friday 11/22 and at the same time dealers where getting their 23s, so I decided to just buy the 22 since imo Toyota had already used those tooling and should have implemented quality control improvements over the past year of production, we had 2022 tundras on dealer lots in dec 2021

If y'all have never heated up a cinnamon roll over a campfire I suggest doing that next time you're out.

Fry the cinnamon rolls in oil before you cook the fresh caught walleye for shore lunch.

I think that would explain your lower fit and finish, the second production (2023) run was much better as expected.

I tested a 22 like yours and then bought mid 23 and the fit and finish, etc was a lot better.

Did you miss my post? 23 were being delivered to dealer lots already at the time my 22 was being made, therefore you should understand it's literally same tooling as 23s

ya I get that but things are constantly being improved, and there are also changes that happen when they switch model years.

in general, the more they build, they better they get especially when we are talking first year run of an all new model.

Why did you lease the equinox? Seems like they dress up some of the lower models ( and brands imo) to give buyers with a false sense of quality.

I wonder what you expect for Toyota quality! I had a 2000 4Runner and hated selling it but always felt Toyotas interiors were a few years behind. The interior was low on my list. Just curious.

I kinda dig it. At least they didn't make an electric crossover and just give it the nameplate. (Like a "mustang" mach E)

Leasing offers more incentives on evs right now, it bypasses the 7500 rebate finance for certain models AND there is no income restrictions

And not sure why anyone would buy a EV right now when like 2026 all ev cars will come with nacs charger ports

Also just want plastic seat panels that don't crack.

Plastic interior trim pieces that actually line up

Rubber window/door gaskets that do not literally peel off and never reattaches back to the door since they used like 1% of the required adhesive vs other toyotas

    Wind noise inside the cabin

Bed that doesn't sound like it's not bolted down when you have the rear window down

Passenger door panel where your arm rests is fully attached to the door panel nice and straight

    AC/defrost system that actually works

Led headlights that aren't already spider cracking on the inside of the lens

OEM power running boards that aren't mounted crooked to the cabin/doors

List goes on and on, subpar quality for a 56k truck and my family and I have owned like over a dozen yotas since the 80s, this is by far the cheapest piss poor quality of them all

Id like to take a minute to recognize "lawn chair" Larry. Dude made it to 16,000 feet and when it was all said and done he was asked "so, why'd you do it" and Larry being the cool ass cucumber that he is says, "a man can't just sit around"
