That makes $114 sound much more attractive...;)

Thanks for the confirmation. I will probably just have to tap the power for the LED from another light source like I did for the switches for my light bar. This makes me feel better knowing that pins 2 and 3 are indeed powering the LED. So it looks like anyone with a 2018 SR5 that is considering doing this mod will not have the wires to make the light work.

Tap into the light down by the emergency brake, it functions just like the ring.

Thanks for the tip, that makes more sense. I have my LED footwell lights already tapped from that bulb.

    2 options,

    Contact @Roman with your VIN#

Remove 2 screws and unclip to see if you have 4 wires......very very simple to do.

Just realized I need some crimp contacts to add the wires to the connector. Does anyone know what type of crimp contacts will fit in this connector?

Finally got warm enough for me to attempt to install without cracking plastic.
    2018 Crewmax Sport with Navi.
    Ordered part #: 89782-0E010
I had 4 wires. Plug and play. It worked.

After swapping them out, I dis-assembled the non-illuminated ring.
The frame-work is the same. 4 receiving pins are present.
The only difference is the addition of the circuit board and acrylic clear cover.
I stole Jims photo and highlighted the +/- lead in posts in red from the connector.
    upload_2019-2-2_17-40-49.jpg
    upload_2019-2-2_17-47-21.jpg
I Popped the tabs on both sides (Red) with a eye glass screwdriver and slide the cover off (blue)
    upload_2019-2-2_17-49-9.jpg
Above is the non-illuminated base with pins present.

Interesting that my 08 SR5 has an illuminated ring, never really noticed honestly but it’s there. Crazy that Toyota took so many features out of the newer Tundras that were there in the beginning. Weird

Not yet. I have a plan but need to find the part number of the connector so that i can buy the correct contacts to power the LED. Didn't have time to take a closer look this weekend.

Sorry if this question has already been answered, but I’m confused as to whether the $30 part #89782-0E010 will plug and play on my 18 CM TRD OFF RD. I see some are having issues with the amount of wires etc., maybe just SRs.

Nabbed mine from the Post this eve. Stoked, so I swapped it out while still in the lot.:p Doesn't work. My truck has four wires at the connector that plugs into the back side of the ring. I'll remove it (tomorrow I hope, time) and put a voltage to the ring, and see if the two center wires have anything there. I may have to see if my wiring diagram sheds any insight.:angrygirl:

Strange, I thought at first you bought the wrong one.

Do you know if that one had 4 pins or 2? The one for the 2018 has 4.
I would PM @Roman he would know better than me, I'm just brainstorming.

Go to post #126. Did it look like that?

The ring I removed has seven pins in the receptacle, I never checked the new one. I was in too much of a rush. There are only the for wires though. I'll dig into it, just have to make the time.

I just dropped the panel on my '18 SR5, took a look and mine has 4 wires in the connector. So, I assume it would work. Granted, I have the SR5 Upgrade package and XSP package, not sure if either would have added the extra wiring that other SR5s don't seem to have?

There are differences in the parts between the 2007-17 and 2018+. From what I can tell, 2018+ all seems to be plug and play. I do not know why one trim level would work and one wouldn't, or what the differences would be.
