We must visit a lot of the same forums. :hattip:

Interesting enough, I have had three friends win a lottery in excess of 1M dollars (one was 10M). Guess I’m the unlucky one. :anonymous:

Nobody in my family would have a mortgage payment anymore.
I would finally get the high end contractor I want to build my house.
I would randomly give out packets of money ($1000?, $10,000) to people I witness doing the right thing.
Set up trust funds for my kids so they have to still be productive members of society.
Many missionaries would be well funded.
Shriners and St. Jude would know my name well, too.

Well - 1.9B becomes about 550 M after cash option and taxes - so there goes a good chunk of my worries of how to spend it.

Honestly - 100m will last me and my family - so 400 M gets dumped in a charitable foundation and let it be some distant relative who I hire as the “foundation representative”’s problem.

There are so many projects worth funding - no way I could pick and certainly no way I could enjoy the windfall seeing others in need.

As far as house / vehicle / vacations - really I’ve been fortunate to have most all that I want and never had to “hope” for a windfall. Island in a river somewhere not too cold would be perfect. Seclusion and privacy with convenience of not being cut off from access to everything.

And yea - I’d probably do a Brewster’s Million reality show remake for the hell of it. Just randomly select some poor SOB / give them a choice - million guaranteed or 50 million in 30 days - only caveat is nothing to show for it after 30 days. Members of this forum would unfortunately likely have to be excluded as they would likely not need more than a week to lose it all - just buy a Tundra, accessorize the hell out of it - realize the “next” gen is so much better and trade their truck in for a loss - accessorize the new truck and then realize it’s got some fatal flaw that makes it unreliable and makes them want to dump it to go back 2 generations to when they built trucks “the right way”.

By the time it’s all said and done the million is gone up in smoke and they are left with an old T100 - wishing they had a gen 2.5.

I'd be working full time to disappear from society as much as possible. Build a bunker on a million acres of good land and fortify it to keep everyone else OUT. Live with nature until society totally crumbles and the nukes drop.

    They were already my friends.

One finished school, started/invested in several businesses and used the money for good. One of the hardest working guys I know.

The other I served with. He won 1M. He purchased his wife a GMC SUV of her choice, purchased a GMC Denali 1500 for himself, paid off the house, his boys college is covered, rest went to investments. Still works every day as a foreman for a construction company.

The last one burnt through it pretty quick. 1M isn’t really a lot of money after taxes. At least he purchased a home.

    Absolutely.

I’m not completely unlucky and have a lot to be humble/thankful for. I did win 50,000.00 once. That was pretty cool. Paying the taxes was not…:eek2:

    1. Pay off our mortgage.
    2. Put a goodly sum away for my son.
    3. Either fix up everything in our house that needed fixing up, or selling our current one and buying a new one.
    4. Paying off any bills for everyone I work with.

Past that, honestly? I'd likely continue in my current job so long as I was able to; I enjoy the hell out of what I do.

I was gonna say…. My wife is playing and I hope to god she doesn’t win. I keep telling her to do the small games. The ones where you win enough to eliminate debt(all we have are two vehicles worth) and that’s it. That way we can still work(have purpose), but instead of working to pay someone back, we can work to build a future that’s not dependent on a rigged system.

Actually enjoy my life instead of being a miserable wage slave cuck. I’d give a lot of money to all my family and friends. Try to help out my local community to make it better for everyone to enjoy. Drive by my old places of employment that screwed me over for years yelling profanities at them lol.

$929.1 million cash option. $800 million in a charitable trust, pay taxes on the remaining $129.1 million nets out about $75 million. $10 million on houses, cars, trucks, boats helping family etc. leaves $65 million to invest and live off of.. Now wife and I would have a full time job managing our charitable giving. Oh, and every day is a Saturday.

Beat me to it! 100% this.

I don't play, but if I did and won:

    1. Tithe, and then some.
    2. Trust for family to ensure immediate family have no mortgage/debt and a reliable vehicle.
    3. Put a significant portion into ultra safe investments that will pay enough to provide a comfortable annual salary in case I lose everything else.
    4. Buy enough property around me that I don't have neighbors in earshot.
    5. As @Jim LE 1301 said, hire @1UPPER to build my home and a guest house.
    6. Charities. St. Jude's, Tunnels to Towers, and find random good people to give some fun little windfalls to. All completely anonymous. Nobody needs to know where it came from.
    7. Renovate the local gun range.
    8. New instruments, equipment, supplies, and space renovations for the local school music, art, and science programs.

I would pack up and move out of commiefornia, set up a self sustaining home/farm, maybe open up 1 or 2 franchises, and use the rest to fight against leftist policies, in particular California. Of course give the almighty his share and my youngins. “All that is required for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.“

Fun things I would do in life which I can’t now or ever. Buy a dedicated drag race car, race on weekends, take flying lessons and get all my ratings and probably buy a cool small plane. Rent large banners and fly above former places of employment with funny anti company saying. Lol. Definitely mod the tundra more.
