Tough question. Either back to my 08 tacoma or look at 4runners. I need off road capabilities for hunting/fishing/camping. The only way i get a car, is if its a secondary vehicle for around town.

Used cayenne gts is what I would want but since I need utility....tough call, tundra is just so perfect however I would consider a ram 2500 diesel but I think they are a little bit more $

If it were a car, my old 2010 civic. Awesome on gas and insanely reliable.
Truck i would go with a mid 2000 tacoma.

    I'd like a 94 Chevy K1500 extra cab. The 4th gen trucks were very reliable and cheap & easy to service. I've had a 93 2WD and a 99 Tahoe 4X4.
I honestly would have taken a lower mileage one over my current Tundra but none were to be found locally.

How do you guys like it? I'm thinking of picking one up in addition to my 13' Tundra.

    Yes sir... m
yes sir..!! My dad had a 1994 Silverado step side that he put 300k on it before I bought it, one transmission rebuild and normal maintenance is all that I did to it for another 100k, has a paint respray done at Macco it looked great and ran like a beast with that 350. Sold it because I wanted a new Tacoma.

It’s a nice vehicle, are there nicer vehicles for the money? Absolutely, but they are not a Toyota, and for the price point and resale it can’t be touched. It dosent ride as nice as a highlander , but I bought it for looks, we have a 2 year old and 14 year old, plenty of room. The gas mileage is fair at best, but we both work local so it’s never been a concern. At almost 50k for miles and have done zero to it except oil and rotation. Even the tires still have a few thousand miles left. I have looked at the new Kia Telliride and the Hyundai counterpart, they would maybe be a consideration for me if I was to change vehicles. This is the second one I have had , my wifey had to have a pimped out white Sahara Wrangler, so being the good husband that I am , I went and traded an almost brand new TRD 4Runner, 12 months later she said she had had enough, go get me another 4Runner! So I went and bought another new 4Runner! Same color and all! Can’t make that sh** up. I buy another one? Absolutely!

Had 350's in both of my Chevies. Never did a thing to the engines or transmissions other than plugs and maintenance. I ended up selling one and the other at around 130K. Both averaged 17 mpgs without much effort.

They were great vehicles, they are extremely easy to work on. Finding one now that isn’t ragged out is tough, but if I can across a decent one with no issues I’d jump on it. The 90’s-2005 GM SUV’s and trucks were legit, and there are many examples of very high miles with limited issues .

35" tires, leveled, running boards, spray-on bed liner. Tinted glass.
    I'd drive this.

A sequoia.. which is basically a tundra so I'm not sure that answer counts.

I got a beat up 69 mustang when I was 15 that never got fixed, I'd probably restore that and drive it.

Hmm, if we're limited to pickups, probably a Chevy HD. Otherwise a used Lexus RC F.

Yup! And minus the ‘around the same price’ stipulation, I’d go Landcruiser.

If I needed a truck, any pre-2019 GM 1500 that I could find with relatively low mileage that had been well maintained.

If I didn't, a GT86 for summer and my 2012 Kia Forte Koup SX for winter.

    Not nearly enough room here!
There might come a time when I won't need my Tundra. If that happens, I'm holding out for a 2nd gen Rav 4 V6. I would've had one by now but our 04 Pilot refuses to die. 357,000 miles, engine, trans and radiator all original. Resized_20200219_140147(1).jpg

I would seriously consider a new Ranger, especially with a diesel. But would probably end up with another Tacoma.
