    Some.
Heck, I've been running chains since Saturday. Spots I'm driving give two options if you slip off the road, sideswipe logs or go down the hill onto other logs and stumps. Neither of which is appealing.

Live in Alaska and couldn’t disagree more. I put 20k on mine each year, half of which is on snow and ice. Maybe get better tires.

Drove on and off in the snow for the last week and don’t see it ending anytime soon. Probably have used up all of my nine lives already…

I tried to find snow to prove the ops theory. Drove all around the state and all I found was a swamp CE4398C0-EB82-4B1F-8726-0DF905305228.jpg

I plow without chains mostly, ice will eventually take over. Tires do make a huge difference, Mickey Thompson Baja Boss is what I’m currently running. Using the gears to control speed and every now and then 4 low, if I’m plowing uphill. Tundra has always been great in the snow. Just avoid driving in 2 wheel drive with traction control on, in the snow.

Are you using the AT or MT Baja Boss?

How do you like them? They’re my top candidate to possibly replace my Duratracs if I go to a different tire.

check out BFG all terrain T/A K02 if you want a good all terrain that’s awesome on snow and ice. It’s the best I’ve found so far.

I had the duratracs before this. I liked the duratracs a lot. The Baja bosses are a bit meatier, but not loud on the roads. Same reason I liked the duratracs. Very impressed so far, lots of snow up here. Lots of hills, I have 2 miles of one lane mountain road to plow, so far haven’t needed to chain up. Once that sun is a bit higher, and gets to the road, that will be a different story.

I’ve had several sets of the KO2. Very good tire, I think the Duratracs are equal on the snow, and better in mud. Both very good tires IMO.

Here’s a pic of the road a while ago. We have gotten about 2 feet so far this year.

I don't know, even the stock Michelins did pretty good. Ran them 2 winter's without issue until I upgraded. Just need more practice OP. I don't recommend going off-road until you do though. 20190928_090215.jpg 20200116_170345.jpg

Admittedly I only read up to post 111. So if someone said this already….Sorry!

I will make some guesses. You did not mention if you had 2 WD of 4 WD. I will assume 2 WD.

I will also assume you have Bridgestone DUELER’s. They suck.

I have a Ridgeline and it came with Michelins. Great tires. Then when my wife went for inspection, the tires needed to be replaced. They put on Bridgestone duelers. Miserable tire in the snow. I put Michelins back on the truck and the snow performance returned.

On my 2020 Tundra, it unfortunately came with Bridgestone duelers. In 2WD in the snow, they still suck. I have needed the 4WD to get me unstuck.

Right there with ya! Should have took a picture this morning. Had 3inches of the super light fluffy stuff going 50 down a two lane road. So much snow was being thrown I could barely see the car in front of me. Never felt unsafe the whole time. :monocle:

-30, a foot of snow the other day, had a blast just driving around running errands and visiting a few people.

Best thing I ever did was ditch my Bridgestones for Wildpeaks.

Use 4WD when needed, no issues at all.

Me too, but I make grammar and spelling errors. My hands get ahead of my brain or autocorrect goes 'tarded for a minute or two. As long as we can have a laugh it's all good.
