I'm not interested in spending a few hundred dollars for a pull down step because Toyota doesn't know how a pickup truck is supposed to be used. Where i live, those types of steps don't last long either. Snow, ice, dirt, mud etc does a number on those small hinges.

In general now that the industry seems to have reached the final frontier on tailgates to a point where the only thing left is can they design one to give a butt massage while you sit on it, the next innovation I'd like to see is a bed rack that unfolds out of the rails and front cab wall and is configurable for stuff like bikes and kayaks.

Contemplating getting Kayaks and reconfiguring the F150 bed to get a bed rack and a cover that will work together. I would pay a few grand for this as a factory option. One way might be posts that retract down below the bed rails when not in use. Then when you pop them up you lock on cross bars that are stored elsewhere. Maybe bolted to one bed wall below the rails.

Something like this plus one cross bar toward the rear of the bed at the same height would be very versatile. Longer cayaks and ladders.

I had the 4wd tempo with limited slip rear diff H.O. 2.3 liter! Tank in the snow and I'd pull the half shafts in the summer for better mpg,s.

If you shut the truck off, apply the parking brake while off, then restart the truck with it already applied and the light switch off, I believe they stay off. It works on my 17' but I don't know for sure if it works on the 22' +

@iHacker just told me about this in a PM as we are discussing upgrading the headlights... I have a 15 and I did not know this could be done... I will try it when I get it back from the body shop (oooops)

Can I add another one ? I say put it back to the same size as the gen 2/2.5's... I don't care for the downsizing of the gen 3's... If I want a smaller truck I'll by a taco

Rear seat storage cover. One that folds out with legs that flip out to make a totally flat load floor. Any questions buy your Ram engineer buddy a beer

You can change between vibrate steering wheel or audible alert but doesn't seem to be a "both" option.

I have a 22 1794 and the dealership told me that only the lights are visible in the mirror and there is no audible. Do you know the sequence?

I was referring to Lane Tracing (LTA) which is what alerts you if you are heading into the ditch. Those settings are accessed using the buttons on left side of steering wheel. The lights in the mirrors are Blind Spot Monitoring.

On my '15, if parking brake is applied prior to engine start the DRLs will stay off until parking brake is released.

Maintain my last climate control settings start after start until I change them. I’ve lamented over this for over 250K mi. in our 2009 Venza, 2016 Tacoma, and now 2023 Tundra. If I want the fan manually on low, temp on Low, A/C off, and fresh air vent On/Open - Leave it that way!

There is leading edge and bleeding edge.
Toyota Tundra trucks are "were" known for being on the leading edge for - Reliability and Durability. At least to me and to the people I know personally that have Toyotas. We gave up features for a truck that was the most like Tonka.
The 3rd Gen Tundra is bleeding edge for Toyota (internal) right now.
    So stick with the 5.7

Is the 3rd Gen Tundra leading edge for features in the full size category on anything? I think of the full roll down back window. I thought the camera system was nice when I drove it but not sure if its leading edge compared to the others. Did not compare.

I think that Toyota will do better than the others eventually because of numbers. They don't make many fullsize Tundras compared to the competition. When problems arise, they can be fixed due to lower numbers. Fewer recall backlogs. Less chance of shortage of parts, etc...
Remember 6 F150's to every Tundra made. And the GM Twins together are a higher number than the F150.

also I said Leading Edge (for reliability and durability) not Leading Edge Technology.
The camera system however does rely on Tech.
IMO - I can say as an IT guy in 2024 - with AI there is no more Leading Edge Technology.
    Many changes will be coming.

I have been following this forum for several months, as I am in the market for a new truck. I am leaning towards Toyota due to the reliability. I am waiting for the interest rates to start falling, but based on my reviews of the competition and how I plan to use the truck, these are the things that I would like to see in priority order:
1 4WD Auto - Avid snowmobiler and road conditions can change quickly
2 Split Infotainment Screen - Would like to split the screen. For example navigation and audio, etc etc
3 2.4 KW Generator - Tacoma has it
4 Rear Taillight - Auto close Tailgate - Tacoma has it
5 Tow Hooks - Tacoma has it

My ideal truck would include these along with a plug in hybrid that would have enough juice to take care of most if not all of my city driving
