    Stories like this is why I recently installed a dashcam. You can get a decent one for well under 100 bucks. The video could provide all the evidence you need.

    Another vote here for the Thinkware dash cam. I have the forward and rear F800 that I got from Best Buy.

    I would go to the body shop with out insurance if you shop it around I doubt the total cost would be over 2k for repair a new panel is under 600 and that’s probably 400 in labor to fit plus paint and blend. Not worth the rate increase and credit ding

    First quote is $1908.56 from a shop near my house that does good work. He said the panel was 570 something. But i found it for a little over 400 so I can knock almost 170 off of that. More quotes coming. Tempted to take the bed off and replace and paint the panel myself. I dont have much experience painting but I know I can replace the fender myself. I have a compressor. Just need a paint gun and research paint techniques and what primers, paints, and clear coats to use
